~ The first technique I'm going to share is the one-word style. The function of it is to intensify situations, emotions, et cetera. Example:
"She stomped her way down the creaking flight of ebony wood. Fury. Anger. Wrath. As she finished her vulgar descent from her room, all those had accumulated into a deadly time bomb, ready to detonate at any moment..."
Put the technique to good use and it's bound to help!

~ This may sound basic, but it's really good to utilize. When coloring, it is recommended that you outline the frame of the item beforehand with a darker color of the one you intend to use. I am not good in explaining/describing this, but it leaves a subtle effect to your artwork.
