Have you got an issue you'd like to debate? Whether it's politics, the plot of a story or life chioces, this is the place for them! Unsure as to whether your issue is suitable for debate, ask a staff member in the Staff thread [the one in the Forum, NOT the Sub-Forum]. Happy debating everyone.
Oh, if you need to stress a point, please use the underline key rather than swear words. They are impolite and ignorant. Thank you!

How about prescription drugs? Good or bad? It confuses me as recently I saw in the news where singular is said to bring on mood changes and thoughts of suicide. (a pill that I have taken off and on a lot) I mean seriously are the pills worth the side affects? I for one think it depends on the drug and how vital is is to each individuals quality of life.

Depends on the drug, I suppose. Some of them should have been removed from practice years ago. Most are fine. The reactions are different for every person, like everything else. If they were to get rid of drugs that have side-effects there'd be none available. People would question whether they should do something similar with food. How about the whole "from now on the medical card will only cover GP visits and not medication!" In other words, Ireland will soon only have Doctor-Only cards! RIDICULOUS!!!

I agree totally ridiculous lol... I feel like it does depend on the level of need for the drug, the severity of the illness and the severity of bad side affects, if I was ill with something very deadly I might take a drug with deadly side affects to counter it if I could, chemo therapy for instance kills cancer cells and good cells thus you face weakness and hurting yourself while killing of the cancer cells, bottum line for me... if I am suffering from a deadly illness I'll opt to counter it with anything I can...

Kind of confused but ok...
I think that if you have a deadly disease, then you'd have no choice but to risk yourself with that chance of getting side affects because by eating the medicine it's almost like 50/50. However, by not taking the medicine, then you're just raising your chance of death to 100%. Anyways, people eat medicine for colds. It makes you feel better, but it makes you drowsy. It's worth it for the side effects. Back then, when there were no "advanced" medicine like we have now, when you got a cold, there would be a higher chance of dying. Now, when we have a cold, we don't die (unless you're a VERY VERY WEAK PERSON).

For those who are just using it as drug abuse, DO NOT NEED IT. As well, even though it is bad for those who abuse the use of it.....isn't it a little bit of their fault? Because they're the ones who decided to use it for that reason. No one is forcing them to do it. They had a choice to not do it, or to do it. Hmm..... confused

I've been trying to pay more attention to the issues they both are supporting, but all they ever talk about is what the other person is doing. It's confusing...
