So, tell me if I'm wrong about this. I'm reading somewhere that in CC Zack asks Aeris out on a date, and it's kind of a thank you for her helping him. To me this sounds exactly like a parallel to the date in FFVII. Could they be making one of the most "important" Cleris scenes into an even more obvious Zeris one? XD

From the minute I started playing Crisis Core, I automatically thought back to that scene. Since Cloud fell from the roof just like Zack did, and since Cloud remind Aeris of Zack, she did the same thing to Cloud that Zack did to her. xd

Zack: I have to repay you somehow.
Aeris: *shakes her head* No, that's okay, it's fine.
Zack: No, no, that just won't do. Ah! How about one date? *He holds up one finger*
Aeris: What's that? That's so silly.
After this later, when Aeris and Zack go to the park:
Aeris: Hey, Zack. Let's go to the park.
Zack: It will be like date?
Aeris: Mmhmm. *nods*
Also, multiple people tell Zack that he is perfect for Aeris, and that she really likes him. =D
Yes... some Cleris fans will say "technically it was Cleris first because FFVII was made before CC". To me, the creators are showing us that Cleris is NOT the canon pairing, by making CC... and shedding light on what really 'went down' in those 'Cleris' scenes. =D

Oh so very true! XD Plus, I thought FFVII itself made it clear that the Cleris scenes were all because of Zeris. So it looks like they finally decided to spell it out for people. XD

Unfortunately there are too many hard-heads out there. But I think Square is definitely straightforward in showing us the true coupling.

I see the scenes more as, "Aerith saw that Zack's technique for getting dates worked, so she used it in the future because she thought it was fun and very unique". Which, in a way it was. n.n
I'm also a Clorith fan, so try not to bash the pairing too much. Thank you.
Also, the true cannon couple is really based on what people think. Square makes it so vague it's hard to really tell. In CC, Aerith and Zack are cannon and Cloud and Tifa are pretty much going at it. In FFVII there's a love triangle between Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith, which continues on into AC. I'm quite certain there's a CloudxAerithxZack love-triangle too... o.O

I was just posting what a Cleris fan said, because it relates to how I feel about the Zeris pairing, that's all. =]
I respect your opinion, and I think it's cute how Aeris mimicks what Zack does. x]

Don't worry. I don't bash Cleris. It's a cute pairing, but I believe firmly in facts. I also firmly believe in the Cleris/Cloti/Zeris/anyotherpairing alliance. Spreading information+fangirl obsession love to everyone! XD
I won't be able to help showing that Cleris isn't canon and that Zeris is. But I won't bash those who enjoy the pairing. That's just mean. (And if I appear to, remember, I'm extremely sarcastic if I'm sounding truely mean. So just laugh at me and call me a loser and everything will be back to normal). XD

I think I might do a chibi comic on Aerith mimicking Zack. n.n
