I think there's just an empty dimension in there. One where he is in control of everything. Y'know, like how he tosses power, can spit ot his power (Kirby 64), etc.

well..if you play squeak squad you see what happens...
food disintegrates instantly..and items he can hold up to a certain limit...

Maybe the limited bubble storage in Squeak Squad was just there for gameplay purposes.

Or maybe he can't disintegate (or warp, compact, whatever) bubbles, so they he gets full of them and can't eat any more.
