I am quite new and haven't posted anything yet I was invited a little bit ago.
So here is goes:
Warning:
My art is highly colorful and has rainbows present in almost every piece. WHy you ask? Because it just goes with everything and brigs the picture together. I usually suck at staying with one colored schemes. Monochromatic kills me. XD

It's highly stylized at my art teacher liked to put it. :/

Yes the eyes are big. I have a fetish over eyes... >.>..<.<...
Same with hair....

Okay on to the posting...

Manga update mascot submission

Medium: Colored pencils and black pen.
Time: A few hours... I don't remember... o_0
But yes her weapon is a screw driver. Heh heh... *ahem*
Since it was an updating site I did a little machine working girl. She even had goggles. :3
This is one of my chibi styles I'm a little proud of.(only because I usually get lazy to color them...)
I probably won't win cause they wanted something simplistic. XD I got carried away... :b

Alien girl person... Pretty hair though. :3
Medium: Colored pencils and ink pens... Again...
Time: Many hours. The hair mostly took the time, and trying to figure out color ideas to.

Her shoulders look funky... If you notice all of my shoulders look funky. Blah... @_@ I liek the black base of her wings those...

Lilith Nightshade (this is what I ment by big eyes...)
Medium: Colored pencils with ink to make the hair darker.
Time: The hair had to take an hour or longer. I had to be careful not to screw up the ink. >.<

This is my main character from a story I am doing. It's an exciting story. I promise. :3 But yes she has big eyes and I likes it. But she's more of a glamour character anyways.
Yes her shoulders are funky to... :/

Lillith in her dreamworld... Or as a zombie. I don't know...
Medium: Colored pencils
Time: Mass time cause the paper quality sucked.

The only thing that annoys me most is her right arm. I screwed up on inking it. >.<, But it was mostly mae for the style attempt to show off her dreaded falls and clothing. I had to do a perspective project for art so I did this.
Sorry it's small. :/

User Image
Mmmm... Damien is such a jerk-a-lerk, but just so gorgeous. Gotta love those horns. :3
Medium: Markers! Bet you thought I was going to say colored pencils.
Time: Thirty minutes-an hour. Not that long.
I personally just love this one... Yeah so I suck at ears but he's got some pretty snifty spiral gauges.

Okies day. I'm done for now. I'll probably upload others laterz...

Man I really need to learn to do backgrounds. :/

I absolutely LOVE the way you work with colors. You know how to use it and you do it well in my opinion. From what I can see, it seems you also have a good sense of where your light source is.

As for your teacher, he is right: Your art is very stylized. That can be a good thing, but it can also be a bad thing. One thing every artist who is very stylized needs to learn is how to turn that off.

I LOVE your art style. smile

Out of all your pieces that I've seen here, I think the chibi one is your weakest. I saw how uneven the screwdriver was, and I think the head needs to be bigger or the body to be smaller.

I absolutely LOVE how you're working the colors, though! They're absolutely beautiful and you work colored pencil like a magician!

And you also have a good eye for anatomy! Your shoulders are actually good. One thing every artist must realize is that certain parts of the body (like feet) are just ugly-looking. xD

One thing, though. Here's a note for you to remember the next time you're doing another perspective shot: since you're looking down on the arm, the arm warmer's border should dip DOWN, like the dip in a smile on a smiley-face.

Excellent work, though! I hope to see more of your stuff!
