((OOC: Sale of Rare Goods, Luxury Import Goods, Unusual Seals, and Fortune-Telling. If you're looking for rare teas, imported wines, a bottle capable of storing Genies, an ancient tome of lore, or a paperweight that never stops bubbling and glowing, this is the place for you. Think something out of Diagon Alley.))
An old-looking house, abandoned for some time, now houses Westly, a Genin of the Morigana family. The interior is lit by flickering lanterns, and the building and furniture are of wooden construction, though the air is perpetually laden with mist. It smells of pine and berries. All of this lends an air, not of creepiness, but of the mysteriousness of the forest. Both home and place of business, the sign out front advertises the sale of strange trinkets, charms, potions, herbal remedies, rare wines and spirits, and fortune-telling services.

Forza lazily entered the crappy looking building. He looked around for a bit, the place gave him the creeps (and thats saying something).

Like a ghost, unheard, Westly floated out of the mists, smiling. "Ah, a customer. I sell many things. Tell me your heart's desire, and we shall see what can be done, hm?"
Westly blinked, his eyes focusing on the one before him. "I know of you. Your name is spoken in whispers. Nanashi Forza, artist of destruction. You grace your canvas with the heart's blood of the foolish. And I think," Westly reached into the mists and pulled out a flask of darkened glass, "that what you desire is in here." According to the label, it was gin, though the bottle itself was engraved with a Water Seal.
"An experimental Genjutsu," Westly explained. "The intoxicating effects of spirits are, logically, limited by the alcohol content. Affecting the mind directly, however, this should intoxicate completely regardless of tolerance."
Westly's smile was positively Faustian. "Care for a taste? I don't charge for testing prototypes."

Walking in after witnessing his fight with pyroka, Irasisri sits quietly off to the side, waiting to see what this shopkeeper sells.

Westly had a habit of speaking in a strange accent whenever he worked the store. "I sell many things. Many, many things. Too many things. Ask what you are looking for, and we shall see what I have. If I don't have it, perhaps I can find it, hm?"

Forza took a swig of the mysterious drink, the taste hit him like a load of bricks. He had never liked the taste of alcohol before, and this enhanced version was even worse. "What the hell is this s**t!" Froza proclaimed as he spat out what he hadn't swallowed. Before he knew it his vision narrowed and his head began to spin.

"Hmm..." Irasiri says as he gets to his feet, "actually I don't think this place is what I'm looking for, I'll see you around the village in all likelihood, though"
In saying this he walks out of the shop.

Sachi dragged himself into the store, his arm clutched to his chest from the pain. Despite the pain he was in...he would need something from this shop for his upcoming three way match in the jounin exams.
"Hello..." he called out from the doorway.

Westly floated over to the newcomer. He recognized him from Aona's fight, and while he bore Sachi no particular grudge, Westly had hoped to train under Aona. Conflicts of interest make business so very difficult, Westly thought.
Westly handed Sachi a bottle identical to the one he gave Forza, though the label was different. "Try this, first. It's a perfect painkiller. Maybe too perfect. There are certain Genjutsu techniques that can make the affected feel incredible pain; this does the opposite, replacing any pain you're actually feeling with how you feel normally. Keep track of where your limbs are, though, because if you lose one, you probably won't notice. It may also cause some numbness, but then again, maybe not."

"No no no..." he said.
Sachi took the bottle from Westly and promptly put it back down on a shelf near him. He wasn't looking for something to dull his pain, the gaioh medics would deal with that...he was looking for something that would help him in the fight...a weapon...or a tool...
"Have any special weapons or tools..." he asked through a groan.
This boy was strange, but there was something about him that Sachi trusted, so whatever he chose for him, Sachi would go with.

"Hrmm..." Westly thought. As far as weapons and tools went, there was precious little in his inventory. It simply wouldn't do to try and steal out of Hephaestus's market share when the smith's shop was so well-known. Of course... there was that ONE thing....
Westly's eyes narrowed. "I may have such an item, but I had been hoping to wield it myself. It can't do to let TOO many of secrets out before I can benefit from them." He paused, expressing contemplation. "Then again, if you were to perform exceptionally in your next fight due to my inventions, it would be free advertising both for my shop and my own talents." Particularly if a certain tactical genius of a Kunoichi found herself forced to deal with a truly ingenious sealed item....
Looking Sachi over, Westly frowned. "You're probably not going to like it, actually. If used improperly, it will most likely swing things away from you and towards Aona, due to your respective... abilities. I could give it to you anyway, but if you want my recommendation..." Westly nodded to the Potion of Painlessness. "Unless you plan on poisoning their coffee, that potion there is probably your best bet. The ability to completely ignore pain on the battlefield is nothing to laugh at. Or would you like something custom-made, perhaps? It wouldn't be anything imbued with Chakra, but I've some skill with craftsman's tools. Perhaps I could think of something..."
Westly started mentally brainstorming some exotic, if mundane, weapons for the potential customer. He had at least one particularly good idea already, but he wasn't going to start drawing up design schematics until he heard Sachi's thoughts on the matter.

Sachi rested on a nearby shelf so that he could think over his choices. He didn't want to take too many risks and he didn't want to play too awfully dirty...so that left only one option.
"I'll take that custom weapon." he softly spoke "It has to have sound capabilities as well as being able to stand up to fire techniques, can you do it?"

Westly smiled mischievously. "Absolutely. I only need you to answer one question, so I can be sure this particular idea will work." Westly left for a moment, rummaging around on the shelves for a prop to explain his train of thought.
When he returned, he presented a tin whistle to the elder ninja. "Your sound jutsus... do you need a specific type of instrument as a focus, or can you use even rudimentary instruments? It's rather difficult to weaponize a banjo, but if you can use a tin whistle, I have a few ideas."

Sachi was quite intuitive when it came to sound weaponry, so despite how lacking in complexity the instrument was, he could tune it for his sonic jutsus. It was quite the skill...
"Any instrument or sound emanating weapon I can tune to be used for my sound jutsu." he said plainly.

Westly nodded. "Very well, then, let me show you my ideas." He motioned the Chuunin over to a table, and began sketching out designs.
"I find the best ideas to be elegant in their simplicity. Overcomplicated devices are prone to failure, particularly when the components jam in the midst of battle."
Finishing the first diagram, he slid it across the table. "This is the easiest design to construct. In fact, for all of these, I could probably more easily retrofit an existing item to these specifications." The diagram was a lightweight metal quarterstaff with small holes dotting it at predictably patterned intervals. Westly continued to sketch on a new piece of paper while he spoke. "Typically, a whistle makes its sound when the player forces air through it, but the reverse, if properly calibrated also works: this quarterstaff, if swung at precisely the right speed, will start making a very noticeable wailing sound. The main issue is the degree of precision necessary: while it's easy enough to train oneself to swing it at the correct speed, rapidly blocking and parrying attacks can preclude such precision. This will be most aptly used as a conventional staff, but if you ever find yourself with some breathing room, spin it quickly in front of you."
Westly passed over the next diagram even as he finished speaking. "Of course, if a weapon were designed to, by its very nature, always travel at the same speed, all the better." A picture of an arrow of sorts that was dotted with holes similarly to the staff. "A crossbow is designed to do exactly that with its quarrels. Get me a pair of crossbows, one for research and one for implementation, and I'll make dozen or so of these bolts. That should be more than enough for a field test. If it works, the bolts will of course scream when they're fired. Even if they miss, you can just use the sound they make to assault your opponent from the rear."
Westly faced his client. "Finally, I could modify a set of clothing twofold: one, I can stitch a series of... well, jingling things--bells and the like--that will make your every footstep sound like a tambourine. It will... completely ruin your abilities at stealth, but you'll always have a little bit of music following you around. Secondly, and this would involve a few seals, I could fireproof an outfit for you, but remember one very important thing: it's the outfit that will be fireproof, not you. It might take the edge off of a fire jutsu, and it will certainly prevent you from being fully ignited, but the heat alone could still wound you severely. Do NOT rely on it too much."
Westly took a swig from his flask. Talking was thirsty work. "This won't be particularly cheap, either, especially the enchanted clothing. So what's your decision?"
