السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته
Hello again...I found another question. I heard that dogs are uh...what do you call it...bad. Like....evil or something. Maybe unclean...anyhow, why does Islam have a thing against having dogs in the house?
how could something so cute and adorable and helpful be bad?

Well, elders and educators tell me that when a dog smells you you'll get punished in the Day of Judgment. I don't particularly know why.
But some believe that shaitan comes with the dogs. That when they bark they are sure to be beside shaitan.
Also, some say that it's because of dogs being nuisance and posing health hazards. But I say that those stands are purely superficial and pointless. Because if that would be the case why not ban each animal that does the same.

Is it because of their not-so-good habit that poses health hazards to men? you know, like their unclean habit of defecating and the like? is that it?

Dogs, they used to hunt me when i was litlle. I remmembered when i ran from a dog who was bigger than me. After a piece of time the god owner caught it. I think it hapend like 4 times.
My friend had a dog, and it was whery ugly. It keeps going around you with it's ugly tongue blaugh blaugh blaugh
But dogs are like lions and stuff. Soo i prefer they live in the nature. In Pakistan you can find them in the mountains, and they act like wolfs. Soo i had a stone to protect me from that >>>wild thing<<< pirate

Nice topic & cute pictures lol xd Ok i know the answer to this one 100% so listen up lol...
You can keep a dog as long as you dont break the following rules:
1- cant keep the dog in your house, or any where you pray or live (give it its own small dog house)
2- cant touch its saliva in anyway, if you do you must bath and wash any clothes that got any dog saliva on it
3- cant mistreat the animal like not feed it, not give it warm enough shelter etc etc etc...
Ok they are the main rules...
Here's a little incident that took place ages ago which is the main reason why dogs are not to be kept in your house...
Taken from hadith book (Sahih Muslim Hadith no.392 cool
Once (Prophet Muhammad) became sad; and said that (Jibra'eel-Angel) promised to meet him at night but did not turn up. "By Allah what has kept him back," said the (Prophet Muhammad). Then he realised a puppy was under his bed. He ordered that the puppy be removed and the area be sprinkled with water. In the afternoon when (Jibra'eel-Angel) came, (Prophet Muhammad) enquired as to the delay. (Jibra'eel-Angel) said "that we, the group of Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or pictures".
NOTE: (Jibra'eel) is also mentioned in the bible however the name is (Gabriel) in the bible... (Jibra'eel) was a messenger for allah, and is also believed to be the one who revealed the qur'an to (Prophet Muhammad)
This should answer your question friend, if you didnt understand the story i can explain it to you later smile

There are so many examples of dogs saving their owners from death, for helping people get out of fiery houses....and for being loyal to the very end...
