So, with summer slowly creeping up on us, what do you guys say? Do we want to try to do a summer festival?
If we do, now would be a good time to start planning. Ideas would be Flash games, maybe prizes, and other stuff.
Opinions/Ideas?

We're planning ahead for the now Second Annual Summer Festival that Gaia holds. It'll be in June or July when they do hold it, but it's better for us to plan ahead, since it's expensive for us to do.
I think if we did some basic little freebie things like sketches that would bring in a lot of people (I've seen it work for threads in various holiday forums). It also helps that it's over the summer and with the exception of a few people who are in college and possibly taking a summer class (not me! biggrin ) we can have people on a lot more often than we do during the rest of the year. I know I for one will only have work to worry about, but with school out of the way there'll be lots of time for me to spend online.

I've got classes, but I don't see them getting in the way too much.
Anyways, is the art auction we discussed going to be during that time? And are we going to use the holiday spirit point system again (revamped for a summer theme, of course)?

Huhu, since it's summer, it has to be AIR TV theme! xd Just kidding (unless you guys want to). Well anyways, I might not be here for part of the summer, unless I have access to a scanner in Korea, which I probably might.

The only bad part is that we can't be 100% sure when the festival will occur, since they've only done it once. I think we're actually going to do the auction earlier than the festival, just to pique some interest around the end of school time when Gaia tends to pick up again. I know the lower South (K-12) will be letting out around mid-May-ish, Universities get out at the end of April. By mid-June we should be ok with schools being done, I would think.
During X-mas we discovered that we can bring in a lot of people by giving away prizes, but those get expensive fast, so we should save up on Yuki, is we can. We also discovered that a stricter set of rules for the contests helped to keep spamming and bumping to a minimum and keep conversations alive. I would like to have more crew on at once, since we do have some people who join in conversations and tend to harass people for no good reason.

Then do you think we should promote a couple of people before then? Or just try to guarantee that more crew will be on for longer periods? Or if not crew, how about some deputies to help with keeping people in line?

That would be, as a whole, damn fun. As long as enough people help out, it's a guaranteed* success. So, I'd start getting people to help and put forward ideas and the like.

the Art Auction might happen around this time
