This is an opened-dome ceiling that lets in the full glory of the night heavens. Stone benches cascade down towards the center point, where a mechanical contraption, probably used for measuring the stars from all angles, slowly and methodically churns quietly away.

the foursome entered the observatory. A full array of constellations greeted them from above.
"And... here we are."

Ren and Baiyu immediately looked up and stared at the stars. Baiyu eventually got dizzy and fell over, but Ren remained in place for a few minutes. She grabbed Luca's arm and sat down, dragging him with her

Ren leaned against him and looked up again. "It's beautiful." Baiyu snickered and waved at the Lady. "Ren's big on stars."

Ren smiled and closed her eyes. Baiyu looked between Luca and Ren. He leaned close to the Lady. "Ren is awfully comfortable in his presence..."

Baiyu nodded. "Usually she's always on her guard. This is the first time I've seen her completely trust someone else besides her parents... which that relationship didn't..... end.... well.." Baiyu smiled. "It's nice to see her like this."

Lady nodded. "I suppose so. Albiore looks a bit different too. But in the opposite way; perhaps he's... how shall I say... actually aware of how he acts around other people for once?"

Baiyu laughed. "Do you know if they have a history together? Ren didn't exactly 'let me out' for a few years, so I don't know when they met. All I know is when they talked, or rather he talked, I felt this slight annoyance before the other day..."

Baiyu shrugged. "I will never understand Ren, so I'm clueless. It could be that he resembles her previous general, who was a very strange character, but I know she liked him, in spite of his constant rambling...."
