Mike Huckabee all the way. It's a shame that he dropped out. He ran an honest campaign and I liked his policies on illegal immigration and gun control. Plus, Chuck Norris supported him.

Well, i have to apologize before hand. Going with the flow is the dumbest thing i have ever heard. You would rather act like a mindless drone and vote for someone who may not have the issues you care about?? No offense, but this is the stupidest thing i have ever read, heard, or learned about. Right up there with "Oh, guns should be sold to toddlers." But anyway, i kinda like Obama. You see, i hate McCain, and Clinton prolly won't be nominated, so i'd go with Obama. Besides, he has the JFK appeal, everyone likes him in a way. And his issues are the one is care about too.

First of all, I agree with Shale. You should not decide on a candidate based on what everybody in your school, neighborhood, or even entire city is saying. The only way to decide well is to research their policies and pick the candidate that offers the best package in your opinion. Second of all, I admit that Obama is likeable. However, both he and Clinton support universal healthcare and pulling out of Iraq. The medical industry is one of the biggest in America. Creating universal healthcare could drive many new medical practitioners away from the business and run the entire country into the ground. Second, pulling out of Iraq would leave the tenative democracy we have set up wide open for attack and takeover by the insurgent factions. The next dictator could even turn out worse than Hussein (or even worse than Clinton!). So, if I could vote (which I am missing by 18-20 days) I would have to vote for McCain.

Ha! I can vote this year. Sorry. I disagree with you, Ventro. We had no reason to go into Iraq. None. Well, if you count our President's idiotic tenancies and his 'belief' that they were harboring terrorists, which was kinda false. Health care and other things, like the Oil industry, run our country. University healthcare is the best thing ever. The rich hags that run our country can afford the nice healthcare, while us middle class folk can hardly afford the basics. Hell, my mom works for Homeland Security, and she is forced to buy her own healthcare.

Well Jon, just check out the candidates campaign pages. Just search their name on Google or Yahoo. No political mind required. And Shale, jump on over to the war thread so I can tell you why we went into Iraq. And I am middle class and I know how expensive healthcare can be. But a healthcare industry and oil industry are vital to our economy, no matter how unfair.

Obama. I agree with many of his ideals, and I love the fact he's pro-choice. On healthcare: We do need it, but the fact is, some should be unable to receive it. (illegal aliens, temp residents, those who make a certain amount of money) Sadly, universal health care is out of the question at this time, due to our current economy. Oil is another thing. The US doesn't have any laws against high emission cars, (though some cities, such as california/NYC do have such laws). We, unlike many otrher countires don't have any laws, and science is mainly put to other things. Notice how mainly foreign cars are the energy efficient ones. The US needs to step up in cutting down our emission % and how we live. Also: We did have reason to go to Iraq, BUT that reason has ended and we should have gotten out over 3 years ago.

Hillary Clinton; she will get things done whereas Obama is a puppet . . . I wouldn't be surprised if our economy stagnates or fails under Obama

1.Sen. eatyourheartout, thats a baseless attack and i would like to see evidence. 2. I believe we should have never got in unless they wanted to attack us which we had no belief that they would, if we had to invade every nation that "harbored terrorists" wouldnt we have to invade ourselves since it was stated that they were "living among us" 3. i do agree with Shale, you must form your own opinion, if its Obama great if not fine, its about youre opinion 4. Mike Huckabee would have been interesting, the conservative base would go into a frenzy, but Ob ama would have those states in play regardless and would put the New England region into 150+ free electoral votes and yes Huck would take WV and maybe Virginia too, he would lose alot of ground in many states that trend Liberal 5. Now to my own opinion, Obama is my choice because he makes the most sense to me, his voting record is what i want especially in the CAFTA vote which i won't go into why CAFTA was bad...He is a great orator and it's time for Change someone who hasnt been in washington since Julius Cesear(McCain) he was probably born in a commitee hearing....A party elder(Clinton) hes fresh uncorrupted and the voters saw it. so Obama 08.

I am for Barack Obama for President.I hate to say but John McCain needs to go somewhere.I cannot take any more fools in office. He knows nothing about the economy and he graduated from collage at the bottom of his class. Seriously can we afford to have some onelike that in office. He makes horrible decisions. He doesn't even know Sarah Palin, he talked to her twice before he chose her for VP. Where I live no one is for Obama because of the dumbest reasons like;he is a terrorist,he is a muslim, he doesn't have enough experience. Can they really be serious? There is a lot of racism here and I think the real reason they are not for him is because the of the color of his skin. They don't want to edmit it but deep down inside they know they're scared for a half black man to be president.Could you imagine if he was fully black.People are afraid.Another thing what if he was a muslim so it is just a religion. I have friends that are muslim and other religions. SO WHAT!!! scream
