Hm...I will take photographs of my other works soon, so here is just my favorite work for now:

This is a ritual dagger for one of my Larp-chars. It shows her god, the three headed ape (yes, this is from Monkey Island^^...we intended to make some funny pirates). If you want to have a complete description of the concept for the three-headed, look at my deviantart gallery (Gallery), please 3nodding .
The blade is taken from a kitchen knife (some sort of asian thing xd ). The handle is (of course wink ) made of FIMO with some glass pearls for the eyes. First I made the basic form of the body and hardened it. then I added things like the barrel and the sack (which I had hardened before) together with the arms.

thats really cool i would probablly be scared shitless while working with a knife
ive cut myself so many times on accident its not funny

sweatdrop Yeah, this is familiar to me xd
Of course I did the handle first, then cut it at the bottom (because I forgot to leave a space, where I could put in the blade) and then inserted the blade.
Luckily it remained very stabile.
I made the cut with a jigsaw, after I made a hole in it with a drill.
The only really dangerous thing was removing the original handle from the blade of the kitchen knife.

Just a small easter thingy: We (= me and my boyfriend heart ) made our own Sushi this easter biggrin .
As decoration for the table I made the two rose-eggs, you can see on the pic.

FIMO is some kind of plastik material (it says modelling material on the label), which can be pound. You can harden it by putting it in the oven at 110°C for about half an hour.
Aaaand it is available in many many colours 4laugh ! (even in translucent rofl )

I know it´s more an old post but I use Fimo myself (not enough space to work with real clay) and I think I´m able to say it´s softer than real clay (worked once with clay in school) and it´s simply a bit different,you don´t need water and you don´t need to raw different parts to put them together. It´s more like plasticine than potter's clay.Hope I could help you with that

Okay...I see, it´s been a lomg time since I last posted something in here.

But:
finally one of my experiments actually worked!!!
So here is: the amazing elf ear. User Image

Now half of my keyboard is covered in latex...but I think that´s an adequate price wink .
It is made from liquid latex-milk that was painted onto a model made from FIMO (Yay! I love that material heart ).
I did not put any color in the latex, because it was only a test. Next time it will have skin color, too. (I´m working on a pair now...and I can say, this looks crappy in front of those...)
