for some reason I remember reading something about disgaea coming to DS and I know that on the NIS website there were a LOT of people who wanted to see the games come to DS.. I think I read this in a Game Informer, but I haven't been able to find it again.. I'm wondering if anybody else knows anything sweatdrop

I haven't heard anything about Disgaea coming out to the DS, and I'm subscribed to Game Informer... although I do know that they made a remake of the game for the PSP with added content. If that's what you're referring to, then yeah, I've heard of it. Otherwise, I haven't heard anything of the DS, although it does sound a bit interesting.

But when you come to think of it... it somehow feels like they'll make the gameplay more tedious since you'll most likely have to use the touch screen for something... which would probably end up being the menus and moving around. While it would be nice for moving around because you can just point and click to where you want to go instead of having to move there yourself, it would be a bit tedious in the menus... at least that's my opinion.

oh yeah, I know about the PSP one I think, wherever I read it, that it was going to be that again, so, with the Etna story...
and if it has the same control as luminous arc...eugh you're right, but some people know how to make decent games and I'd hope that they'd just play it like on the PS2... I mean, with an extra screen... touch control would suck majorly

Wow... it actually sounds interesting... but if it's the same as the PSP version or the ps2 version with nothing new... then what's the point in it?

"Oh I left my PSP with Disgaea at home... it's a good thing I broguht my DS with Disgaea DS in it!" xD

They should add some new features, nothing that'll change the storyline of course, but add more in depth multiplayer stuff... or... well... something else to the single player mode as well. Maybe a few more optional characters or something would be nice. Characters from recent games... or for example, Adell from Disgaea 2. THAT would be a bit interesting. xD

Haha yeah, I wouldn't be looking forward to playing around with the stylus. Although, moving around with the stylus wouldn't be that bad... or at least positioning the magic and what not. But if it's going to be used for menus and stuff like that, then there's no point in it...

Even with using the stylus to move, moving around on such tiny squares on such a tiny screen can possibly get a bit... tedious to say the least.

Oh, and you're going to love the ending... well at least I did. xD There are multiple endings, but I'm sure you know that.

This isn't a spoiler so don't worry... if you want the good ending, don't kill ANY of your own characters in battle, even if it's by accident... if you want one of the many bad endings, feel free to slaughter as many of your little pawns as you want.

yeah... there's no way I could avoid that.. that's.. pretty much something I've never worried about, if a character was in the way, and I needed to use a super wide range spell to hit like, 5 enemies, I'd go ahead, even if I lose my fighter in the process, I pretty much run the games on mages, long range, uber powerful mages, with tanks up front to keep the enemy back xP
EUGH I can't wait lol to actually finish, even if I do get a bad ending or two xP I did finish disgaea 2 lol got a lot of stuff in that one... that was fun... lol
