Metaplot Summary
Part One: With Lillian missing, Asrafel took it upon himself to throw a get together to bring his other fellow Shattered together. Unbenownst to him, Lillian had died; and yet, she found a way to consume souls in order to bring her back to life and seek revenge on the harbinger Halexei, who stole her unborn child from her.
While Lillian plots to steal shards from Halexei by hiring a realm-walker named Rictus to do the deed, Asrafel is confronted by a mysterious woman who shows herself in his reflection in a mirror. This confrontation leads Asrafel to faint, and when he awakens he convinces himself that he did not see anything at all.
Ilistala, Shauna, Joce, Calumet, Mirorim, Raeanne, Lonan, and Elle come to the Shattered gathering, and merriment ensues.
Lillian, while waiting for Rictus to complete his job, returns to the Shattered's home world of Aliith. There she finds the souls of those trapped between worlds, dead but unable to pass on, and ends their misery by consuming them to feed her own life force. Their own hatred for the God that had abandoned them and the harbinger that had failed to save them now welled deep within her. Using this newfound anger, Lillian pays a visit to Halexei, and in the midst of a heated discussion concerning her fate she manages to grab a hold of Halexei's soul. While even the forces of all those inside of her were not enough power to consume him, she did manage to rip a part of his soul away. Now, Halexei was as incomplete as she.
Back at the Benedict Center, Orestae comes crashing in on the party demanding ho-ho's, and while Asrafel fulfills her request he asks her if she has seen Lillian. To his face-slapping shock, he finds out that the only information Orestae knows about her daughter's whereabouts is that she was very likely pregnant when she left. While Asrafel knew that he and Lillian had been together, it was difficult to believe that the one time could have produced a child; but after undergoing several excuses in denial, the possibility of the child being his was now permanently engraved in his mind.
Lillian's next stop on her grand tour was The Abyss. She had come looking for a particular demon named Ruel, who labeled her a reaver; a collector of souls. The demon specialized in creating weapons intended on killing a particular being, and Lillian had him use the soul fragment of Halexei to create just such a weapon, intended to capture and kill the harbinger once and for all.
Rictus had finally reached his final destination, which was the Benedict Center. This was where Lillian had asked him to leave the shards, but to also make it look like an accident. He left them in a room with a large mirror, then destroyed the mirror and let the shards he had brought take the place of the glass. When his job was done, he disappeared.
Asrafel, upon hearing the crash of glass, goes to inspect and finds the mirror shattered. With the help of everyone, including Brownie and Papree who had just arrived, he decides it'd be safer to clean it up. After this, it is decided that the party must come to an end, and everyone went home.
Unbenownst to most of the Shattered, they did not go home alone.
-----
Part Two:
Quite some time has passed since the party, and Asrafel is doing a more thorough cleaning of the room when he hears screams. He is visited by the woman in the mirror once more, who tells him to ignore the screams and continue to clean. He does as she asks, and the screams stop. He is unaware, however, that his vacuum bag, filled with all the shards he had cleaned up, is now missing.
The woman, Saralinda, shares some grave news with Asrafel. Some of his kindred are now in danger of being replaced by jealous souls wishing to take what they have. It's only a matter of time before things start to get ugly.
Halexei's immortality is quickly fading away, and he is now stuck on the mortal realm, coming to terms with his loss. Rictus, the realm-walker, pays him a visit out of curiosity - and finds out that Halexei's grand motives are perhaps more human than one might have thought.
Though Saralinda thought Asrafel had left to warn his friends of the danger they were in, she is relieved to discover he was still in the Center. When she sees him, however, she is not so sure. Her doubt is confirmed when Asrafel shatters her mirror, steals a pair of Lillian's pants, and leaves. Saralinda is determined to find out just what this new 'Asrafel' is up to.
Meanwhile, the real Asrafel has shown up where he was told Elle and Lonan would be. While he can't find them, he's struck down with the feeling of new life being wrenched forcefully into this world using the Shattered shards. All over Gaia, his kindred are finding themselves in a world of danger, and Asrafel finds himself helpless against the onslaught, but determined to find an answer.

Choices If you've been following the storyline you're aware that those Shattered who were at the party now have with them a shard of the broken mirror. They may or may not realize they have it - that's up to you. Those shards were very determined - they made sure they had a ticket out of there. Your next choice is whether you play your own foe or the staff plays it for you. Let us know which you would prefer - the staff will be involved in the RP either way. Choice responsesPlayed by Staff: Raeanne, Suzu, Mirorim, Elle, Lonan, Papree, Brownie Not Played by Staff: Shauna, Joce, Calumet, Stala, Brimstone, Karma Those who are participating in the Metaplot from this point on are listed above. The option choices have already been made and your last choice is now at hand: see below for further information. --- Your Shattered is battling for the right to live. And you do get the choice of whether they win or lose. Does losing mean you lose your Shattered? Well, yes and no. Losing means your new Shattered will look the same, but being a completely different (and very angry/bitter) soul. That means nothing of your old Shattered will remain. It's up to you! This choice is made at the end of your RP, and you can let the RP decide for you if that is what you want.
