Last Sunday at my church, they showed a video of a guy asking random people on the street if they believe in angels, what they think they are, and what is there purpose. There were some really funny answers, and I'm just wondering what you guys think?

angels are heveanly beings that are with God and are always singin praises to him and what not, thats what we usually think; thing that we dont normally think about though is demons and the devil are angels too, theyve just fallen from grace and decided it was a better idea to follow ol' Louie instead of God[idiots]. i guess what im tryin to say is that angels are like us because God gave them the same free will that he gave us

Well, angels aren't little winged babies, I know that much. smile
I don't know much about them other than that they're God's Holy messengers. According to my trusty Bible concordance, though, "angel" actually means "messenger" in the Hebrew & Greek (mal'ak & angelos, respectively). But the fact that Satan and his "demons" are angels, too, puts a little twist on that. I suppose Satan's angels are messengers, too-- just not messengers of God, but messengers of the adversary.

Sometimes I picture angels as big warriors with swords and shields that walk next to me when I'm going around town, doing school work, shopping for clothes or even groceries.
I read a book called Devil Chasers. It was a story of a young boy who wanted to start a phone ministry. And it switched from the natural to the spiritual realm, so one minute the boy was trying to witness his friend, while in the spiritual the angels were like doing everything the boy told them to do.
It was cool. And I think it's really on target with what's going on around us. 3nodding

Angel's are God's creations, just like us, but they aren't really God's children. Their God's servants, because that's their job, they serve God. They live in His house and, like Sedmikraska said, work as messengers. And God sends Angels to us to protect us. Angels are God beloved and loyal servants.
Yeah, demons are all the Angels that agreed with Lucifer’s logic that HE should be God, and HE should give the orders and be in charge of his OWN creations.
But God created Humans to be above Lucifer! Ha ha! That's a kick in the teeth for Lucifer! And that's why he hates us and is obsessed with blinding us and pulling us down to his level.

I was told that angels are spiritual beings created by God to worship and to serve God. They are neither male nor female, and therefore can't --and don't need to--reproduce.
They are capable of sin, unfortunately, which obviously led to all of the problems of today.
