I have this cooking project coming up for PE class, and I have planned a Japanese/Asian meal. 3nodding It's gonna be fun. I'll make Udon with scallops and bok choy as the main dish, Riceballs with tuna and Miracle Whip, and a Asian salad. Edit: (Looks good, right?)

Errr, well, I was just planning on throwing together baby bok choy, beansprouts,sliced almonds,mandarin oranges,carrots,and pea pods with a recipie for a dressing I found off the Internet. ^^; I'm not that good at cooking, so I just assume what might sound good together, make it, and hope it comes out okay.

XD My best friend calls that intuitive cooking. ^^; That's how I cook-- combining whatever sounds good at the moment.

That's interesting how we both cook the same way. It's interesting since, to me, since it suggests that we have the same personality, or rather some of our personalitIES (as you like to put it) mesh.
However, there are times when I follow recipies to a "T". But, if I have no set idea of what I'm gonna make, it's "throw-everything-together-and-see-what-happens" time.
I remember once I was making some ramen, but I ended just throwing a bunch of other stuff into it, like extra broth,a different pre-packaged soup mix, baby spinach, canned chicken, eggs, and cheese. It actually turned out really good. My brother, upon first sight, accused me of being "a 'tard (short for Narutard) who's trying to copy Ichiraku ramen", but even he thought it was good. Then, I proceeded to eating it with chopsticks, and he proceeded to rolling his eyes.

XD I use recipes to a T when baking. For cooking... maybe it's because I'm Korean. ^^; We're not fond of cookbooks, apparently, so we make most things to taste. O.o So I never, ever grew up with solid recipes around me.
Whaaat? Why did he roll his eyes that you ate it with chopsticks? XD I don't like spinach and I've never even heard of canned chicken, but... oh, you know what/s good? Taking chicken ramen, adding some chicken boullion, getting one of those fried whole chickens-- especially seasoned-- and tearing shreds of that into the ramen. ^o^ And some black pepper, red pepper, green onions, well-cooked celery, and break apart an egg or two. Mmmmm~ Oh, goodness, I'm hungry. XD

I do the same, since it's a lot easier to mess something up when baking rather than cooking.
He rolled his eyes at me since he thought I was acting like a Japanophile again. He figured I could've just eaten it with a fork.
That sounds so good! ToT

Nyah, Sanee, that actually looks really good. Hmm...maybe I'll have to try Asian cooking sometime. Long as it ain't sushi or fish, cuz I can't eat fish. Even the smell of it makes me nauseous, though some fish dishes do look really good. My stomach just can't process fish.
ShikaNeji, you're Korean? Cool!
I'm weird with cooking. For me, it either turns out really good or awfully terrible. I don't go by recipes, either, cuz 1/2 the time I dun have the stuff the recipe calls for, and I'm too lazy to go to the store, so I'm always like "umm....how about this instead of this?" I usualy use a recipe- one of my grandmother's - for a base, then modify it according to whim/whateversounds good/whatever is lurking in the cupboard.
I can't make spahgetti to save my life (and gawd, how *easy* spaghetti is to make), but I can make home-made veggie soup from scratch (means I make me own broth, too), home-made stew, gravy from scratch, and BBQ chicken with home-made BBQ sauce.
When it comes to baking, I attempt to follow the recipe, but it dun always work out. Though, with baking, ya sorta gotta follow the recipe more than ya do in cooking. I dun know why, though. O.o But, yeah, I'm good at baking sweets, just not icing. It always turns out wonky. I can make a home-made chocolate cake from scratch (no cake-mix-in-a-box needed mrgreen ) and I usually do homemade icing cuz no one in my house likes the canned stuff, but my icing always, always, always turns out wonky. emo

Ten: But spaghetti is really easy to make! What part do you need help with? Do the noodles stick to each other? Are they too hard? Other problem?
Actually, it seems a lot harder to make what you mentioned. Homeade cake sounds delicious!
I want to make a homeade pinapple upside-down cake for a certain pineapple head on this upcoming Septermber 22nd. ninja
(Speaking of making cakes for fictional characters, since I've revealed Shika's b-day to be Sept.22nd, all you Neji lovers could make him something on July 3rd, if you'd like.)

Ten: Yes, I'm Korean. ^^; Why is that cool? XD And I'm impressed. XD I can make spaghetti, but I can't bake anything homemade. XD;;;
Sanee: ~_~ I'll be insanely busy around that time with work. But I'm more of a Shika fan anyway. XD OMG! I SHOULD TRY TO GO TO NARA ON SEPTEMBER 22ND! ^o^ Except it's a Monday... ~_~;;; So I'll probably have class... ~_~;;;

Sanee: I don't know- everytime I make spaghetti, something always goes wrong. Sometimes I undercook the noodles, sometimes I over cookthem, and one time I even burned them. O.o and I still don't know how I did that...I just can't make spaghetti to save my life.
That pineapple-upside down cake sounds awesomes for our Pinapplehead shika. Hmm...I'll hafta do something for Neji's b-day then...July 3rd...
All my cooking I learned to do from my grandma, and she's homemade all the way- real old school hehe. My whole family was raised on homemade food- I swear, when ya get used to the taste, anything store-bought just can't compare. So, yesh, 'tis a lil more effort, but 'tis worth it. Plus, I like cooking. All the stuff I make ain't that hard, though. It sounds hard, but it ain't. Gravy is just mostly flour and water, plus seasonings/meat juice. ^^
SN: 'Tis cool cuz it made me think, EEE! Yaoi lurve is cross-cultural! (Hehe...all the anime fans I know are all white...*sheepish grin*) Homemade ain't that hard, really. It just sounds intimidating cuz there's more steps, but 'tis easy.

Ten: Well, just try to boil the water first, and then put in the noodles for a set time, like 8-11 minutes. See if that doesn't work.
SN: Going on his birthday would be such an awesome idea. ....Yeah, having class on his birthday may suck, but last year it was on a Saturday, and I had to do volunteer work! I lazed around afterwards to celebrate. <3

Sanee: I shall try for it. :3

Yeah, I know there's yaoi fans all over the world, but I just meant that all the ones I know all happen to be white (most are females, but I know a couple of bi-sexual males who like yaoi). But that's cuz in my lil corner of the world, most of the people where I live are black, white, with a few hispanics. That's about as diverse as it gets around where I live.

xD I know what you meant, you said all the ones you know were white. ^^; But the countries I listed are places where I know of specific friends who live there who are yaoi fans. =P
