For me, I'd give it a 9 because
1. The storytelling style is changed. Instead of the usual self-contained episodes (each ep. having its own separate story), the storyline of BJ 21 is continuing.

2. There's more drama and cliffhangers, making you want to watch the next episode immediately.

3. Black Jack now has a hat, making him look more mysterious...and hotter! 3nodding whee sweatdrop

4. The bad part is, some of the episodes get a bit boring. This series concentrates more on the drama, so less comedy.

I agree with the hat...but I give it a 7. The original was WAY better, it mixed me up with the part when pinoco asked about his real name in the beginning because with the episode from the original series, she already knew when Black Jack's friend referred to him as Kuro'o. My last reason is that the plot was good, but they didn't need to make 17 episodes about black jack's father's secret. I mean, really, did they have to? (I AM A BLACK JACK FAN WHO WATCHES ALL OF MY EPISODES ON VEOH.COM)
