Yayness, we now have an RP subforum (I luff you VanishingLullaby)! Now, you may be wondering why we have one, and the answer is simple: What better way to enjoy the books we all know and love, than to roleplay some of the settings or plot lines ourselves. And no, this doesn’t mean that you basically rewrite the books, because seriously, that would be boring. What I was thinking, would be more something like this:

From Kim Harrison’s books: David (the insurance werewolf) has a new pack, and someone starts a rp that roleplays as his pack. No, the pack doesn’t have to be just two girls and a guy, let your imaginations take over. ^^
If you wish to start a new RP; You must first pm me your storyline and title the pm RP for Hollows Guild. I would like to make sure that we don’t have several of the same rps springing up. And if two stories are closely related, I will ask you to simply join the one that has already been started. I will be keeping a list of Active Rps here in this thread with their story lines, so please take a look before you send me anything.
You DO NOT have to do Kim Harrison book based rps only, but it would be nice to have at least one biggrin
ATTENTION! Please read the AMP Rules if this is your first time roleplaying, or if you’re very new to it. If you are confused at all, again please post all questions here. (I will put the full version in link form... its a little long)

Obey Gemiinii because she's awesome. wink For those of you that have rped already and know the drill, I thought I would still post a set of rules so that you can't say you didn't know xD And this are just and add on to what VanishingLullaby posted. 1) No god-modding (see Amp for more detail) 2) Do not use *move* for action/movement. 3) Do not use Leet for Chatspeak 4) Write in the third person (take a look into your favorite book if you're at all confused by this) 5) It will be up to the thread maker whether or not they accept one-lines, but I think we are all more creative than that! 6) Please watch your spelling an grammar, though I know no one is perfect (points to self xD) 7) Be respectful to all of those that Rp with you, this should be fun, not torture. cool I don't think I need to add more, but I will if there seems to be some confusion or trouble. 0) Obey me or be fed to the monkey that flips you off (check weekly polls for cute monkey) AMP Rules will be coming as soon as the journals are up and running sweatdrop

What is Roleplaying?
Roleplaying, the simple definition, is when you create a character and play whatever role you give them. You want to be a vampire? No sweat (literally, vampires don’t sweat ^^), you can do just that. You can drink blood and act mysterious all from the comforts of you home (or office for those of you with awesome jobs).
How do I start and RP here in the Guild?
Well, first you have to think up something good. And once you have an idea, you’ll want to create a premise of some sort, to give other members and idea of what your rp is about. You’ll want to provide: Title, setting (when, where, and circumstances), and you’ll also want to include something for your characters to start with, such as are they all meeting at one location? I’ve found that giving your characters something to react with their first or second post helps a lot to get the rp started, especially when it’s a location that they must get to. Please also include which author/series you're basing your rp on.
Once you’ve done all that (feel free to pm asking for help, I will being a list of experienced rpers who will not mind) send me a pm with the title: Rp for Hollows Guild. I will read everything over, and if all is in order, I will send you a pm letting you know that you can go ahead and start the Rp.
What if my Rp dies?
If no one post on your rp for two weeks, it will be deleted. But before I delete it, I will save a copy of your opening post and pm them to you along with a notice that your thread has been deleted and why. Hopefully this doesn’t happen, and if you ask, I will try to give you more time (especially since we are low in members right now xD)
Someone else has a Rp similar to mine, can I still make my own?It really depends on how similar they are. Go ahead and send me your idea. I’ll try to help you make it more unique, or I will ask you to simply join the other rp.

Lol, everything comes back to the shiny stuff right? Well, I suppose we can have a contest of sorts. Once a month, whichever person starts the best RP (in my opinion) will win 1k. I will most likey drag another mod into this so that all is fair. Oh yeah, the Rp must be an active one ^^
Someone is spamming/trolling/flaming/being an a** in my thread. What can I do?
Please REPORT them to one of the guild’s moderators and we will definitely take care of it. But DO NOT report them to an out of guild mod first. It is our jobs as the moderators of this guild to take care of things like this. It will probably be best to contact me since I am responsible for this subbie, but if someone else is online and I am not, please contact them. Again, please let us in guild mods take care of the problem first.
Can I bump my RP?
Only if it falls off the first PAGE rofl . Which considering how many members we have, isn't going to happen any time soon, so unfortunately no bumping.
My questions is not here, what do I do?
Ask your question in the thread, and if it’s a good one, I will add it to this list. More than likely, someone else has the same question you do ^^.
