Roma Plastilina

The Kothoga is my Pride and joy. Made the first year I started sculpting at school for a year final. We had to make our favorite Horror Movie Monster. The Kothoga was from The Relic, a 1990's ish movie. The exact year escapes me. Big critter which was a mix of a mess of creatures. Ox, Alligator, Spider and lion to name a few. It's probably a little under two feet long with it's tail. My Baby.

This is Tasha. I have been drawing her for years, and when for college I was asked to make an Animatronic (Think Robot with a puppet on it, used for movies and such) I knew that she was my main choice. It was hard to make, since it was making a two dimensional creature and bringing her into the 3D world. Click Here to see what the finished Animatronic looked like.

Another school project. We had to make something that would be made into a moving mask. Another Animatronic, though using cables instead of servos like Tasha's Animatronic. His name is Noggen. I had to come up with a name so I could have something to call him when I got mad at him. It was about 20lbs of clay and my plaster face.

This is a little Hippo head. It is a bit smaller then my closed fist. And I have small hands, so it's not all that big, though it looks bigger in the picture. Um, well, to give you a better idea, it's open mouth was perfect to fit Business Card's into. The teeth held them in place really well.

This was for a contest. The only thing we were given for it was "Touch" And it was free rein from there. I thought of a child touching their mother for the first time. I still feel that I need to fix this some how, but I only had so much time for it. It didn't even come close to winning, but the contest was kinda bugged a bit. Long story.
I have more Roma clay sculptures: Here
