I've hade my ear streatched at a 2 gauge for about 3 years now, I'm thinking about taking them out. I probaby already know the answer, but I have to ask anyway. What is the probabilty that they will shrink back to almost normal?

Pretty good. If they don't, you can also try getting a piercer who has done it before to slash up your lobes to initiate healing. They might look odd after though.
