Alright, I'm going to start a campaign somewhere along the lines of level 1-5. It depends on how generous I feel and what the players themselves want. I'm almost always on, so we're set for the DM being here, I just need some players. You can use any books/sources to make your characters but If there is something that you want to be that is not in the core rule books then You'll have to ask me. I want at least a little back story, I don't care where you get it just get it to me.

What are your general ideas for the campaign world?
I am interested in hearing more about it.

It's a war. The area the group starts out in has been nuetral in the war so far. It's set in a mountain range, so the tactics the two opposing armies use will be diffrent then normal for the era, which is basically like the dark age.

Sounds like fun, I would like to play as a Binder, a class from the tomb of magic, if you don't mind? I'll play a Warlock or a Sorcerer otherwise.

I would be interested in playing. How should we generate ability scores?
That would give me a better idea whether to multiclass or not. I was thinking of some combination of divine and arcane magic.

Yes binder is fine, any of these books you don't have to ask me about characters from. -PHB 1 and 2 -Tome of Magic -Complete Arcane and complete Divine -Complete adventurer -Libris Mortis -Book of vile Darkness (although some of the things in their I will want to check, I'll tell you about them if you get them.) -Complete Warrior and Complete scoundrel -Arms and Equipment Guide. -Epic handbook (I doubt you'll be able to get anything from it though) -MM1-4 (Haven't seen 5 but if there's something in there you want to be then you can give me a link to it) although anything with a level adjustment of more then 2 I'm going to want to look at. -Races of the Wild -Book of Exalted deeds. -The spell compendium Anything else I will have to check because I either haven't seen them or haven't remembered it. Okay, Roll 4d6 take out the lowest one if you roll yourself. I'm going to trust you to a certain point. And if you're using this sites dam dice then roll 5d6 and take out the lowest two. Each one gets to re-roll the lowest stat, If there's a big difference between the stats of either dice type then I'll do something about it. As for the gestalt character, It will have to have a great back story, or at least a good reason for being it. otherwise I don't think so.

Lvl adjustment can be handled in many ways. If we start out at first level, which I doubt it, then it will be a experiance penalty, and you wont end up gaining a level until the party is level 1+your level adjustment. If we start out at fifth, which I think we will, then you will start out by taking your level adjustment away from your level. EX1:I decide to make a drow, It's level adjustment is 2(I think, might be three, I don't want to check) So If we start out a level one I wont gain a level until the rest of the party gets to about level 4. Which means that you're level 2, to their 4, making your power balance out in the end. EX2: I decided to make a drow, but the DM moved the level up to five, so I take away the lvl adjustment. ending up with a level three character.

oh okay i get it now. just asking a but I think that a +2 LA is a little over the top for a half ogre. I mean the half ogre is significantly reduced from a full blooded ogre yet it gets the same level adjustment. Can I make it a +1 LA instead?
