This is a discussion about the seventh book in the series:

I can not get through this book, no matter how many times I try. For some reason I find it so difficult to read. I think it might be that there is so little, Anne, in it. There are also so many names in the book I sort of get lost withen them all. I also have a strong dislike of the orphan girl that the Minister's children take in. She's a real brute of a girl. If the ministers children and the orphan girl were kicked out I would appreciate it more.

I found this book on the shelf in the spare bedroom and I was surprised and excited. I'm going to read the others before this one (in other words, I'll read them in order) but I'm super excited that I have this one. =]

yeah I only really like Rilla in it. Shes more down to earth and more like her mother.

I'm looking forward to getting to this book, I've always wanted to read about Anne's children, and Rilla always came close to be because of her namesake. ^_^

I remember liking this book well enough but my favorite parts were any that touched on the old characters (like if Diana was mentioned, or Marilla or anyone else).

i have just started reading this one and i found myself liking the first chapter a lot as Anne and Gil come back to the glen. but now all they talk of are the kids and the new minister and i am kinda bored with it.

I really Loved this book, even though it was more about the Meredith Children then the Blythes but still it was a wonderful story and the friendships in it were so heart warming. i love that Ingleside is like the heart of the children's world and that Rainbow Valley is their sancuary. i think that puts Anne and Gilbert up very high in the eyes of the children. that they know that if they need someone to talk to they can go to anne and that if they are sick they know that Gilbert will be right there. i really loved it and i am happy how it ended. i didn't like Mary Vance at all.
