 Kai Nishima Age: 25 Height: 5'11" Weight:145lbs Family: Nishima Rank: Daimyo of Nishima Family/ Supreme Commander Class: Warlord Biography: Kai Nishima was born in Kagoshima castle as the second-born son to father Aiji Nishima and mother Miyuki Nishima. At birth, it was said that he did not utter a cry and he was born with his eyes open, intent on staring at the world in all its glory.
At the age of three, the seperation of family began as his father took more interest on his bigger brother, Duo Nishima, molding and grooming him to become the next emperor. By himself, Kai grew into his persona of individuality, spending hours in the library of the palace, studying up on the legends of Japanese folklore and history. Reading "Sun Tzu's Art of War" book, Kai learned the basics of warfare himself, relying mostly on the authors of the texts he read than his father. As Duo grew and was taught to fight, so was Kai. Around the age of 6, his father began to mold him into a defender of Duo's ambition, the one who would bring the sword down for the glory of the empire Duo would create. He was taught to wield a blade and how to fight when unarmed, but he exceled mostly in his tactical advantages. While Duo was physically stronger and faster, Kai was smarter.
The seperation lasted until Kai was 23. Around that time, his father was leading an assault against Hiroshima. Already of age, Kai and Duo joined Aiji in battle. Riding his horse Saffron, Kai was assigned the taking of the Southern Gate of Hiroshima Castle, where a minor Daimyo was located. Kai managed to break through his assigned gate by forcing the doors to collapse open by breaking down a nearby dam and re-routing the water towards the castle. With the gates open and destroyed, Kai rushed into battle in a wedge formation, shields in the front. The reduction of casualties allowed Kai to take the Southern gates and the outlying bases as he braced himself down, waiting for Duo and Aiji to complete there tasks. However, tragedy struck as Aiji was cut down, taking the Northern gate. He fell to an assault by multiple troops, his blade still swinging wildly and killing many before he finally died. The loss of the Supreme Commander de-moralized the troops and many expected Duo to start his role as commander right then and there. However, it was Kai who stepped in as the commander. Ordering the dams nearby to be broken as well, the whole castle was now flooded. In the battle, Kai was wounded twice on his face and once on his back. He still has the scars to this day. Also, during the battle, Duo revealed to be the legendary Leda, the one who his father had always compared Duo and Kai to. In shock, Kai stared as Duo asked him to keep it a secret from the family and the world, saying it would bring more enemies to the gates of Kagoshima. Kai agreed, although he was still reluctant to keep a secret from the people. The taking of the castle was easy as Duo cut down the daimyo and earned them a hard-earned victory. With Aiji killed, Duo was expected to now become the Lord of the lands that Aiji controled, as well as the head of the family.
However, Duo did not accept his position. Telling the court that his brother was more of a leader than he was, Duo offered his brother the title. Shocked, Kai first rejected the title. He was not in due to lead until Duo was killed and he was fine with that. Now, he was to be the leader with Duo alive. Under the pleading of his people and the constant prestering by his brother and mother, Kai reluctantly agreed to lead. He doned the armor of his father and all the other leaders of previous times of the Nishima family and picked up his dad's blade, the aptly named "Phoenix", and led his family. His people viewed him as a generous leader and a courageous warrior. His enemies, however, viewed him as a demon and a nuisance.
Not all was battles and war in Kai's life. At the wake of his life, when he was 21, Kai was leading a campaign to the mountains of the south. There were no forces to conquer or anything to fight, so Kai merely annexed the territory and began to build a fort. While building, a small raiding party from a tribal leader rushed into the fort. The battle that presumed was a long and bloody one as casualties from both sides took a heavy toll on both forces. Nearly demoralized, Kai rushed in to end the battle by killing the tribal leader. When he encountered the leader, he froze. She was the most beautiful person he had ever met. Dressed in a ceromonial Kimono of white and red, her brown hair tied back in an elogant ponytail and wielding a halberd. They both stared for a long time, before they engaged each other in battle. The duel lasted for a short time, before Kai managed to pin her to the ground, his blade on her neck. Asking for death, she closed her eyes and waited, but Kai let his blade down and ordered his troops to retreat. In a merciful whim, Kai allowed the tribe to keep there lands and also the fort they had created. Kai and his troops began to retreat back to Kagoshima.
Following the retreat, Kai was allowed by his father to return, although his act of mercy made him seem weak to his father, but gracious to his people. As he was close to Kagoshima, he was startled by a war horn behind him. Wielding around in his horse, Kai saw a single woman with three armor-clad warriors behind her. She approached Kai and got down on her knees, offering him the land of the Southern tip and her tribes numbers into his. Kai quickly agreed and offered his hand to her, which she took and both rid off to Kagoshima. As soon as they arrived at Kagoshima, Kai introduced the beautiful woman, named Mizuro, to his family. What followed was two years of courtship as Kai and Mizuro rode into battle together. Quickly, he fell in love with her and she with him. At the age of 24, Kai and Mizuro married. With Kai as Daimyo, Mizuro became part of the leading family. The people rejoiced at the sight of there leader happy and also with the thought of the empire that would last for generations to come.
Just a few months after there marriage, Kagoshima was invaded by a family known as Takeda. Led by the legendary figure-head of Shingen Takeda, the family went unopposed all over the territory. When they approached Minamo Castle, Kai led his troops to counter the advancing army, with Duo heading to the supply depot to "protect" it, as he said. What followed was the greatest battle in Kai's like to that date. With Mizuro at his side and both riding Saffron and Sapphire, Mizuro's horse, they led a strong attack against the main army, while Rin, his advisor, led a small assault towards the left flank, through the woods of the castle. The attack by Rin stunned the strategist Shingen and forced him to the open, where Kai and Mizuro waited. As Mizuro was distracted by Shingen's guard, the warrior named Yukimura Sanada, Kai fought Shingen. The duel was a long and exhausting one, draining both himself and Shingen of there energy as neither warrior gave in to the other. As morale in both forces dropped, Kai and Shingen finally both collapsed on the ground in exhaustion. Ironically, after they had a small breather, they merely laughed. The ease of the situation at hand stunned nearby troops to the point that no one raised a balde to continue. At that point, Duo reappeared, following a warrior under Shingen's control. Once Duo saw Kai in his position, what followed was taunting and ridicule by Duo. All in brotherly love. Around this time, Kai and Shingen both stood up and offered each other peace for there families. Shingen announced that he would not continue his assault on Kagoshima and he would return the lands he took from Kai to the family, while Kai allowed Shingen to take a small refuge in his castle and have some land of his for his own use.
Three weeks later, Duo and Ayane Takeda, Shingen's daughter, married. What followed was the greatest coalition of minds and power to date. With both Kai and Shingen under one banner, the promise for peace for the land draws ever closer. Personality: Kai is a gentle man, who posesses and intellect that surpasses many. He see's himself as being forced to rule, but that does not mean that he does not have ambitions. In fact, he see's that the only way to stop all the turmoil of the land is for him to become the Emperor of Japan. He is incredibly charismatic and a fierce speaker, something that gives him a good edge over his people and also a good reputation. In battle, Kai is a firece warrior, wielding his blade like a demon and cutting down many. When not fighting, Kai can be seen speaking to his advisor Rin, walking and talking with Mizuro or enjoying a pleasant game of Go. Other: Kai enjoys playing Go. He see's it as a way to hone strategy and not lose so many lives. He normally plays with either Rin or Mizuro. The record is pretty much dead even. Kai enjoys BBQ good, like chicken and pork. He can eat entire loads of Mizuro's cooking when she cooks, much to her gratitude and happiness. He practices martial arts and also sparring with Rin as well. He considers Rin, Duo and Mizuro his closest friends, as well as his mother and empress, Miyuki. ~Played by November_OSL ~

 Duo Nishima "LEDA" Age: 28 Height: 6'0" Weight:170lbs Family: Nishima Rank: Guardian of the Nishima Family / Lt. Commander Class: Hermit Biography: Duo Nishima was born in Kagoshima castle as the first-born son to Aiji Nishima and Miyuki Nishima. At birth, strangely, instead of crying and wailing like a normal baby, he rolled his eyes, yawned and then fell into a deep sleep.
At the age of 3, the birth of his little brother, Kai, stimulated his young mind into a sense of being a big brother. To Duo, this was a new challenge: to see that his younger brother will not fall and that he would care and guard him from all harm. When Duo was allowed to hold Kai, he whispered a promise to only Kai: that he would not allow anything to happen to him as long as he had a breath in his body. Sadly, at the age of Duo becoming 6, he was seperated from his brother by his father to start his training into leading his family once his father was gone. As his father only had eyes for making sure that Duo was trained, Kai started to become neglected from his family. Not liking this, Duo spent the nights, the time he was allowed to do whatever he pleased, with Kai, protecting him as he slept and sometimes falling asleep on the floor, ever watching Kai.
WHen Kai was 6 and Duo 9, Duo begged his father to teach Kai how to fight. He said that even though he was to be the next leader, he wanted his brother to be able to live up to the family name. Reluctantly, Aiji agreed to train Kai. Duo cheered at the thought of fighting alongside his brother and left. One day, while Kai was training and Duo was eating his daily pound of rice balls, he caught a sneak-peek into Kai's training. What he saw was Kai being trained in the use of a long weapon, a weapon that would clear surrounding enemies. He was taught how to polish armor and how to work a phalanx, nothing like the offensive style that Duo was being trained in. Duo felt like he was tricked, but he did not have the authority to go against his father. In anger, Duo watched his brother become a defender, not a fighter. While his dad slept, however, Duo bgan training Kai by himself. He taught him how to fight the way he was taught.
At the age of 10, Duo was coming along great as a student and a fighter. His hand-to-hand was becoming even greater than his father. Overjoyed, Aiji bragged to anyone he could find that his son would become a legend, the one who would unite the Japanese lands under Nishima rule. To congratulate him, Miyuki allowed Duo to choose a warhorse. He was brought to the stable where the newborns were and he felt an instant connection to one who was about to be putdown. Duo quickly chose his horse, which he named Katsusashi. He raised his horse as he continued his intense training on the side. At the age of 15, Duo mastered the legendary Nishima "Twin Lotus" style, surpassing his father yet again. With that, Duo's training was ceazed. However, he did not. He began to make his own style into fruition, combining his own speed and the Twin Lotus style into his own, which he perfected at the age of 20, around the time he was allowed into battle.
Duo never really stayed close to his father's wishes, however. He and his horse started to create a new lengend for themselves. Calling themselves Leda, Duo rode in the battlefield, assisting the soldiers and fellow leaders, rather than taking bases and stomping enemies like Aiji wished he was doing. To the common people under the Nishima family, Leda was a masked-guardian, the defender of all the virtues that they held dear. As Leda, he mainly defended the people, not attack and kill like his father. This led Aiji to become very dissappointed in his son Duo. He compared him to Leda, saying that he wished Duo was more like Leda that himself, rambling how if Leda and Aiji were related, they would fight side-by-side ratehr than break up into units. This led Duo to keep Leda a secret from his father and everyone else.
At age 26, against an assault in Hiroshima, where he was now accompanied by his brother as well. During this battle, Aiji ordered Duo to stay by him at all times, letting Kai run-off to do what he thought was right at the Southern Gates. Not wanting to be restricted by his father, Duo snuck off to the Northern gates, under his father's wishes. He began an assault on the Northern gate, whlie Aiji attacked the central and Kai the Southern. While Duo assaulted the Northern gate, Aiji was having trouble by himself. His forces were not ready to swarm the well-defended central gate. Duo, however, did not know of his father's predicament and continued his assault. With the taking of the Northern gate at hand, Duo was told that his father was having troubles by himself. Not wanting to see his father's blood on the ground, Duo rushed off to his aid after the gate was taken. When he arrived, he saw his father standing proudly in the midst of silver friendly warriors and purple enemy warriors. Duo watched as his father hacked and slashed away, although he was sporting lance after lance in his body. With 15 lances in his back, Aiji finally fell on his knees and gave one last scream of anger, before he fell to the ground by the daimyo's blade. Blood surged through his body as Duo rushed into battle, one hand clutching his blade and his other placing Leda's mask onto his face. The sight of Leda rushing into battle frightened the soldiers of the enemy and the daimyo. As Leda killed the troops who killed his father, the daimyo retreated into the castle. As soon as the central gate was open, Leda rushed into Aiji's side, taking off his mask in the process. What followed was Aiji's dying laugh as he ralized that Duo was Leda. In his dying breath, he apologized to him, to Kai, to there mother and to his people. As a tear fell to Aiji's face by Duo, he let his father fall to the ground and he placed the mask back on his face, rushing into the castle to confront the daimyo. As he hacked his way towards the daimyo, Kai had already began his own advance towards the Daimyo. Both brothers met up in the middle, where the Daimyo was located. As Duo dueled with the daimyo, Duo was attacked by the daimyo with an upwards slash. The slash not only took off his mask, but left a scar on his eye. Not wincing and taking an opportune attack, Duo let his blade fly to the neck of the daimyo and executed him in a brutal fashion, by beheading him. As the blood sprayed into Duo's face, he turned around to clean the blood with his shirt. What he saw was his brother's shocked face, as he stared into Duo's eyes. Duo looked around the abandoned corridor of the palace and begged that Kai not tell anyone of his secret identity. Kai quickly agreed. As the battle came to a close, the officers met at the main camp, where Duo was now to start his role as leader.
However, he quickly declined the position and pointed his finger to the one person he knew would lead the family to glory: his brother. He told the court that he was more of a soldier, a fighter than a leader. He said that his brother possesed the neccessary skill and intellect to lead the family in his own right. The court finally agreed with his decision and Kai was made the emperor. That night, Duo could not sleep. He stayed up that night, speaking to his horse. He realized that the promise that he had made Kai had not been fufilled and he renewed it, promising to be a defender of Kai's dreams and goals.
The following year, Kagoshima was attacked by the Takeda family. While Kai began an advance with his wife Mizuro and Rin, the advisor, Duo rushed to the defense of a supply base, where it was rumored to be burnt to the ground. This all worked into Shingen's plan. He had trusted in Duo's greedy belly and his laziness to defend a small base and also in his trump card, the archer and his own flesh and blood, Ayane Takeda. Her mission was to take the supply base and to kill Duo. As Duo quickly realized how beautiful Ayane was, he concentrated on her beauty as she tried to kill him. She continued to shoot arrows and swing her blade, while Duo parried and did not attack, merely staring at her, mouth agape. As she fought Duo, Duo was intent in getting to know her better, now and never more. She finally lost concentration as Duo finally disarmed her. She expected to be killed at the spot, but was quickly scooped closer and felt Duo's lips clash onto hers. In shock and sporting a pale look on her face, she quickly ran, returning to her father's side and leaving Duo with a sense of accomplishment. However, he pursued her on Katsusashi. As they both arrived at Minamo Castle, they found Kai and Shingen laughing, tired but not dead. Duo laughed as well and started to taunt his brother, saying how he was beaten by a man in his 80s. As soon as both warriors were healed, they started there speaking in negotiations, as Duo merely slept in the corner, Ayane staring at Duo and not fully listening to her father speak with Kai. After the peace was made, Duo and Ayane married three weeks later, bringing a coalition to date.
Together with Ayane, Duo plans to see his brother dress in the Emperor garments, with Mizuro at his side. He plans to merely either sleep as a general, or retire into the woods with Ayane. Whatever it is, he will not leave until Kai's dreams are realized. Personality: Duo is a laid-back, happy go lucky type of guy. He see's humor in mostly everything and anything. He loves food. In fact, he adores it. If he could marry food, he would be good to go. He is incredibly loyal to his friends and family and he puts there own safety infront of his own. In battle, Duo is an incredibly skilled opponent. When he dones the mask of Leda and takes on a legend, his skill becomes legendary as well. He does not like to kill peple of talent, seeing it as a waste to the world. If they lose, he simply allows them to live and thanks them for the test. On the otehr hand, when he fights an evil person, he quickly kills them giving Leda an extra footing as Legend Killer. Other:Katsusahi is Duo's noble steed. He only allows Duo and only Duo to ride him. There bond is so strong that Duo actually developed a sense to understand what he wants. What Duo lacks, Katsusashi is great at. When Duo needs someone to motivate him or to speak to, he goes directly to Katsusashi. This often creates problems between Duo and Ayane, as well as Kai and the other officers. Katsusashi is of grey complexion and his mane is red. He is considered the fastest and strongest horse in Japan.~Played by Igion~

 Takun Age:21 Height:5'6 Weight:139 Family:Takeda Rank: Class:warrior Biography:Takun was born into a peasant family but when he became old enough to learn the truth (21 years of age to be exact) his parents told him that he was a desendent from the takeda family, he told his parents he wanted to go and find out if he truly is. Personality:hes pretty laid back and chill, but if he gets to know you well hell probably jump on you the first chance he gets and squeeze your cheeks Other:enjoys drinking sake with his close friends (unfortunetly dosent have friends yet) ~Played by Sadstatue595 ~
