So if you have recently bought a Sims 2 Stuff/Expansion Pack you probably caught a glimpse of the teaser inside.

You can move into your own apartments, have annoying neighbors, and have to deal with landlords.
Personally I'm rather disappointed.
It looks kind of fun... but at the same time it just sounds... I dunno.
Blegh.
Thoughts?

I love it.
I've always thought Sims needed apartments, especially for the "Downtown" areas.
Mostly it's because I like making really poor Sims and then having them slowly get money, and having a house straight off the bat seems weird for my dirt-poor-Sim storylines
As long as the apartments are just a little something extra, and they're not replacing the houses entirely, I don't see any problem with them.

Ive always wanted to build an apartment building for my sims. I have built a few but it would be neat to actually have it work like an actual apartment building. im excited!

I've always wanted apartments for sims! I've tried building them in the past but it just doesn't work.
I wonder when they'll start releasing more information about it.

They may not make it into the finished game. I'm not really bothered about this pack either way. It sounds ok but it doesn't seem as though its a lot for a whole expansion pack. If they base it off how dorms work then they don't exactly have much work to do. Then again thats probably a good thing with the amount of bugs, glitches and errors we seem to be getting with each new pack. I'm sure they'll find some way to stuff it up.

Menaceman It sounds ok but it doesn't seem as though its a lot for a whole expansion pack. Pets isn't either, really. Or weather. I'm not sure about apartments. I would like to be able to live in them, but there's only so many expansions I'm willing to install.

Weeeeeeeeeell......
As far as this whole apartment idea goes I think it's pretty neat in a sense that every Sim pack makes the game more real but...
Apartments pretty much sounds like a grown-up version of University. Just drag and drop the uni expansion to downtown and you'd have the same exact thing. Rent instead of morgage, joy.
Basically I'm more interested to see how they advance social interactions and the game animations. Because in the end, that where the fun is at. -really loves the "interests" options in freetime- 8DDDD
