Up on the mountain side, just outside of Blue bell village stood a building. It was old and run down. A young man had just purchased it, as the wind seemed to carry the message to the two ranches down below the mountain. The sounds of goats could be heard from the mountain in their calming echoing sound. As well, a small chicken sound could be heard as well.
Link was outside, the young man who had purchased the building for 100, 000 g. It was in sad need of repair. The previous owner of the building was careless with it, and only one chicken was on it. Link knew that he would have to go into town eventually to purchase a rooster for this hen. But, in the meantime, he shipped the egg that she layed every morning.
As well, Link had shipped like 200 goats milk as he had a goat milker and he had like 1000 goats on his ranch. He had physically brought the goats to this ranch. He had heard of the wondrous fodder for his goats and they would birth easier. And Link, he decided to name the ranch after his hometown of Ordon, way back in the elven lands of Hyrule. Elves there were known as humans, although they weren't.
Link had pointy ears like the traditional mythical elf. He had a calming Ocarina that he loved to play and, the best part was, he could herd his own goats without Epona being there.
Link's shadow was actually a woman from the twilight realm known as Midna. She could transform him into a wolf whenever he wanted. Just as long as nobody else was around except for the goats and the chicken.
When Link did transform, the animals listened to him. They knew of the wondrous deeds he did back in Hyrule and now there were plenty of people there that were strong enough to keep the evil at bay, and most of them already had experienced being in the dark, but had been granted a new chance with no illnesses attatched to it. Link did not want to have the same experience as he did with Midna that one time. He remembered how sad he felt when he thought Midna had died. Link supposed he was just really attatched to his shadow. (Oh man that pun was terrible! Feel free to laugh. It was meant to be funny.)
He was working outside when...

Link then remembered that he had business at the inn. When he returned from the inn, many months had passed and all of his goats were bleating for attention and love. "Baaa!" They cried.
Grabbing the goat feed that he had in a small stone house, he placed them in the feed bins. As he fed each goat, he pet them apologizing to them for his absence. The goats seemed to understand and they went on eating the feed.
His favorite goat Belinda walked up to him for a brushing too. She was awfully dirty. So, appeasing his pet, he brushed the goat and began to sing a melody that he learned from back home.
"Time goes by, as fast as fire, but when I'm here, it seems to stand still. Time goes by, yes, time goes by..."
His singing could be heard throughout the village below his mountainous ranch. Appropriately titled, the song was called "The song of time" and it was usually played on an ocarina with no words. But, over the years, Link learned the missing lyrics to the song and now, whenever he sings that song, it calms the goats and may actually make the town peaceful as well.
Link wasn't a priest, far from it, but somehow his melodies were as heavenly as tunes that a priest should know. As he had been dashing up the mountain, he did pass by someone that looked like a priest, but he couldn't be sure.

Ari Ran fast as she could up the mountain untill she reached a farm with a young man singing a song with a melody that made her remember all those many years ago. 10 years ago.... It was a cold wet day when the funeral was held, perfect for the occasion. A wealthy woman had been murdered two weeks before, Leaving her husband and child. The police hard as they try could not pin the murder on anyone. Yet the child a girl ten years of age knew, her mother had been killed by her father. A few years passed and her father attempted to sell her at age 13 as a slave to a old man. The police arrested her father and the girl was put with her aunt for three years but he bribed the judge and was let go when the girl was 16. She has been on the run since then her father had police watching for her so she fled to an island. Through all this she remeberd one thing her mother had told her "All ways smile love, it becomes you!" And the cameo her mom had gave her that had been lost at sea. This girl was Ari. Ari awoke from her flash back with tears in her eyes. But that song she knew it but why did it show her mom..! she thought about how dee locked and looked to the boy a light went off in hear head wear they..?

Link looked up from his ocarina, as his song had just ended. "Why yes, I am. Hey, you're that girl, Ari, aren't you? I saw you at the Keep when I was bringing some goat's milk there, and somehow, that same day that I was bringing the milk, I fell asleep and was encased in emeralds. So, are you here to purchase a goat or a chicken? Or are you that person I had asked for to help me with the ranch? It's not easy to run a ranch alone, especially with as many goats as I have."
Link's favorite goat went, "Baaaaaa!" As if to remind him about something else important.
Petting the goat, Link added, "This here is my favorite. Sometimes when I get lost in my own music, I tend to forget some important business. Her name is Bessy."
The goat nodded as if to say, "Thank you," then trotted off in a horse like manner to the shed where the other goats were already napping.
Link blushed, "I guess this time, Bessy wanted to be introduced. She can be stubborn too, as goats tend to be every now and then."

Ari laughed as he introduced his goat, What a bossy goat she was! "Nice to meet you im Ari and i run the general store." Ari listened when he told her about the emerald prison he had been sealed in. "Ummm i have an explanation for that, you haven't been gone for a day, you have been gone for months." She said explaining what she and the others knew .

"Wow! Then no wonder Bessy wanted attention. So, you're the general store owner, that's good. Wait, does that mean you'll be picking up my goods every morning?"

"So um i came hear cus i heard a song it reminded me of my mum and dee for some odd reason.... Would you happen to know why?

Link looked at his ocarina, his smile fading. He then said honestly, "This song was used long, long ago as a way to literally go back in time. However, the way that I play it, is a new remastered version, which will only give one memories of the past instead of reliving them. It also soothes the animals's spirits. There are many tunes that I know on this thing, if you'd wait just a moment, I can get you the list of songs. I wrote them all down, just in case when I get really old, I will never forget them."
Dashing into a small cabin, Link retrieved the list. "Here they are. All 120 songs that I have played on the ocarina. The ocarina was a gift from the man who used to play one just like this. Its made from Deku wood. Its very special. Link Ocarina better known as The Hero of Time gave me it. He also told me why he felt like he needed to give me such a gift. It was some lecture about his homeland of Hyrule. Well, as of tomorrow, I will have the shipment of eggs, goat cheese, and pumpkins here for collection. If you're lucky, you may hear me play another tune."

The next day...
Eggs ready = 100 total Goat cheese ready = 30 total Pumpkins ready = 2 total (aww!)
Setting the shipments out in separate bins for Ari to pick up, Link had brought Bessy out as he felt like grooming her again. The goat was smiling as she knew that she was about to be pampered. Bleating happily, Bessy told Link in her own way that she was in a good mood.
"I'm glad that you are happy, Bessy. Today is a beautiful day. So, girl, what song should I play?"
Thinking, and understanding, Bessy bleated the initial tune to the Serenade of water. "Good choice," Link complimented, then after brushing the goat, he placed the ocarina to his lips and began to play the Serenade of Water.
He was blissfully unaware, that before long, clouds of a gentle rain were beginning to form. The magic within the Serenade of water was to give the crops a nice drink of water, but not to create an all out thunderstorm that was scary. There was a different song for that.
Bessy laid down beside Link listening merrily to the tune. Anyone coming to the ranch would know that this goat was in the finest of spirits.

Seeing Link turned to stone once again, Dee then fed the goat and the chickens before dragging her son once again to the garden at the Keep. "So much work, its nearly unbearable."
The ghost of Zelda appeared and said to Empress Dee, "Dee, please, leave Link here at the ranch. The goat loves the kid and it will be a reminder to the creature that her master is still here, just cursed."
Sighing again, Dee stopped dragging her son and placed him by the tree stump he usually sits on. "Very well, Zelda. Just keep an eye on this place, okay?"
Zelda nodded then faded out of sight.

While frozen in his stone form, Link could hear all that was going on. He wondered why he was turned to stone when he could still do things. Then he remembered his mother saying something about a curse.
Someone else must have caused this transformation and that whatever demon did this to him was still locked inside of him.
Then he remembered something about what he asked of Ari. "Oh, crapola!" Link said in his mind, "That two timing princess Ari must have done this to me! Well, I hope that mom has done something about this. I dunno what I would do if I couldn't break free of this form. My poor goat must be starving by now."
The goat bleated, hearing her master's thoughts. She said in her mind, "Do not worry, Master Link. Your mother has been feeding me. A shame that it is that you are trapped in a stone body. I will see if I can find Ari as well. I heard there was a new resident in town also looking for Ari. If I find Ari first, I will be sure to tell the new resident my way."
Chuckling in his mind, Link said to the goat through his mind, "Just don't chew his shorts off, okay?"
The goat laughed, then trotted into the village.

Dee appeared as if out of nowhere and said, "You cannot save him that way, but I am happy to see you guilty of what your absence has done to him. Link has been turned to stone thanks to a shadow demon. The priest could have dispelled the creature after it invaded Link, but sadly, the priest has disappeared. And it looks like I must reward John for his help. That kid works fast I tell ye."
Zelda's ghost appeared before Ari and she said, "Save Link, Ari. If you truly love him like I see in your eyes, you must go to Zack's dig site and demolish it where it stands. Only then will Link be cured. But, I must ask of you a second favor after you've saved Link's life...help him on his ranch. Delivering the goods was only part of the job."

Ari looked dumbstruck, she had never thought of it before but now that she was he seemed magical in a way that she couldn't figure out... Even though Mano disappeared and most likely would not be heard from again she cared for him still. As she thought she realized could she have a bigger part to play ? She came here for a peaceful life and now this? It cant be helped this was her destiny she knew it was. " I will be off to the dig site then! Thank you so much Dee ill get your son back for you i swear it on my mums locket!" She said running twords the dig site.

About a week had passed since Ari had left for the dig site and she hadn't been heard from since, but something strange happened from within Link's emerald prison.
A sudden loud crack could be heard for miles as Link had struggled to break free from turning into a precious gem statue. Soon, emerald shards were found in Link's shipping basket all ready to be sent to the market.
Looking down, he noticed them and shrugged. "Well, that was certainly convenient and profitable too. Lucky me. Oh, right...gotta feed the goats, chickens and collect the honey from those bees."
Off to work Link went. He whistled for his favorite goat who came eagerly and baaed in his ear. Link smiled at her, stroking her chin. "I sure missed you. If you were a human or even an elf girl, I'd totally marry you."
The goat was happy to hear that and trotted merrily around. The song she sang as she pranced had a certain feel to it and while feeding the chickens, he wrote down the notes the goat was singing.
Upon finishing that, Link looked at his fancy watch and sighed. "Ari's late again, but I am pretty sure she had a good reason this time. Ma's probably got her working on something."
The goat baaed sadly now as if her feelings got hurt. Link chuckled, "Don't worry, you are still my favorite and always will be. Speaking of, I will be back shortly. Guard the hill well, girl. I have to take these to market, okay?"
Understanding her master's words, she nodded and continued to prance around as if on Cloud nine.
