Elaie kept silent as she walked through the forest, pulling out a small bauble and rolling it inbetween her fingers, trying to relax her body and keep herself from breaking out into tears once again. She looked up into the trees, trying not to imagine her friends climbing through them and Zacarias' laughter ringing through her ears. Turning to Raven, she smiled gently before continuing over another hill. A large town lay before them, lighting the lambs through the narrow strees as the sun began to set, letting the darkness creep into the world. Eliae sighed before moving to sit down, running one hand through her hair as she rested. "We should stay there for the evening, then maybe we can find something to eat." She patted the ground next to her, beckoning to Raven. "What do you think?"

Raven brushed his hair out his eyes, smiling as he took a seat next to Eliae. "I think it's as good as place to start a life as any." He shifted, putting one arm around Eliae's shoulder as he gazed at the town. "Are you sure you're okay?" He asked, turning to place a tender kiss on her cheek.

Eliae nodded. "I don't see anyway how we could all coexist. I chose you because I love you, and I wouldn't be able to exist without you at my side..." She blushed lightly as he placed a kiss on her cheek. "But I still am going to miss them dearly."

Raven nodded, facing the town once more as he bent his head to place it one her shoulder. "And I'm glad you did. I don't think I would be able to pursue this new path alone." He closed off his mind to the images that splashed across it: images of his past deeds and future possibilities. "But for now, we should probably head into town for the evening, secure a place to stay."

Eliae nodded before removing Nielm from her pouch, and after a few puffs of dust was once again in her humanoid form. She took Raven's hand before they began their journey down the hill. "Have you ever been here before?"

Raven looked at the high walls and the shadows that seemed to sink into the very stone itself. "It is increasingly familiar." He ran through all of the towns he had been through over the years. "Hopefully it isn't one of the ones I burned..." he muttered to himself.

Eliae gave an awkward laugh as they entered the very outskirts of the town, and marveled at the people who sat outside of cafe's and pubs enjoying themselves on the warm evening. She pressed herself closer to Raven as several of the men eyed her as she passed by, each raising a pint to her beauty. Her ransuer hilt dragged in the dirt, making intricate tapping noises as the continued along.
Suddenly they came upon a great marketplace with stands selling hot fresh plates of food or intricate artisan works of clothing, jewelry, pottery, and even components for magic. Eliae's eyes lit up, looking around at all the interesting sights around her. She glanced up at Raven. "Can we?"

Raven smiled, letting the aromas of the market place flow over his nostrils, weiving an intricate tapestry of colors in his mind. "Of course we can." He wrapped his arm a little tighter around her waist as they made their way through the crowd. He stopped to examine a small crystalline butterfly clip, shining in the light. "How much?" He asked the woman behind the stall.
She eyed him for a moment, as if there were a name on the tip of her tongue. "Three pieces, five for the pair." She indicated the butterfly's mate, a stunning dragonfly that seemed to splash jets of jade across the table.
Raven smiled at her. "I'll take both of them." His hands disappeared for a moment, coming up with the necessary coinage. He slid them across the counter, scooping up his newly aquired pieces. He turned and laced the butterfly through Eliae's hair. "There we go." He smiled. "Now, it's beautiful."

Eliae blushed lightly as she looked up at him, giving him a slight peck on the cheek before she continued down the row of vendors, looking at other pieces of jewelry and clothes. She marveled as a man swallowing flames passed by and another juggling daggers while balancing a ball on a stick between his teeth, constantly touching the butterfly hairpiece to make sure that it was still in her hair. "Its so calm out here...as if nothing bad was happening in the world."

"That's because I don't think any of these people have ever been outside of the city walls." Raven looked around, smiling at the collection of bright tapestry that served as the backdrop for a woman dancing in the street for gold coins as a man played a stringed instrument behind her. "Or at least, none of them but the players. I haven't seen a single person who doesn't seem to know their neighbor." He indicated a pair of bakers that greeted each other by name as they passed one another, one carrying a cart laden with food, the other empty handed. "Even theft seems pretty scarce." He said, as he took notice of the colletion fo purses that lay out in the open. "It's like a paradise."

Eliae moved a bit closer to him. "Kinda like whenever I spend time with you. Everything seems to slip away, and all I can feel is that happiness that I am with you..." She kissed his shoulder before seeing a small ring with a group of cheering men around the pit. As Eliae approached, she saw that the men were trying to best themselves in hand to hand compat. She watched as if hypnotized, analyzing each person's strategy and movements as if mastering a dance.

One of the men leaned on a large staff, catching a glimpse of Eliae before shouting to the men fighting in the circle. "Oy, keep your wits about you boys, you've got quite the admirer." This was followed by a round of good-hearted laughter.
Raven smiled along with them, making his way to Eliae's side. "Careful now," he grinned. "You might just end up picking a fight you stand no chance at winning."
The large man looked him over with his own laugh. "No offense mate, but I doubt a skinny thing like you'd last five mintues in the ring."
Raven smiled. "I was talking about her." He chuckled.
The big man let out a large laugh. "Alright then, missy, since I don't think he should be talkin for you int he first place, what do you say? Do you think you can last a round with Bear?" He patted his barrel chest at his, most likely self-appointed nickname.

Eliae beamed, quickly spinning her ransuer in her hands before planting the bottom down on the ground. "I think I can give it a shot." She winked, stealing a kiss from Raven before leaping over the guard down into the ring. "Ready when you are!"

Bear let out a laugh, making his own way into the rim. "Well then, I think this should quite interesting indeed." He feigned a strike at her left side before driving a shot towards her right.

Eliae watched him, quickly moving to the right and then the left, leaping up and bringing the blunt part of the ransuer across his side.
