4-20-08 Well, it's April. And it's snowing. Yes, snowing. And's been doing so for three days by now. What's up with this weather?
In relationship news...single. Still. Not that it bothers me, but lately I've been hoping to b able to find someone. I look at all the couples in the halls at school and wonder why I can't find something like that for myself. Last night was prom (I didn't go), and one of my friends (she's on Yearbook and a cheerleader) had been trying to persuade me to go. Now, I'm only out to a few friends, so she doesn't know yet, but the last time I saw her outside of school (ran into her @ a Fred Meyers), she tried getting me to go with this guy who I spend lunch with (I'm a computer-lab person, and we used to go onto youtube and see which of us could make the other laugh). I know she's not homophobic...(she was bestbetbest friends with last years male cheerleader, who everybody knew was gay), but I feel like I can't tell her.
Learned recently that one of my other friends is involved w/the schools GSA (the school has a GSA?!), and I'm kinda wondering whether she's bi or straight. I know she's not a lesbian because she's got a megacrush on the Jonas Brohers (gag me). A new friend (met just this year) seems to have a bit of a girlcrush on me, as she tries to find some way to come over almost every day, and insists on sitting next to me during assemblies/lunch/computer lab time. What do you guys think?

(Note: A GSA is a Gay-Straight Alliance)
4-21-08 I learned something about our school's vice-principal today. He usually walks around between classes and ushers kids off to class before they're late. Anyway, I was walking away from my locker when I see that these two girls who had been walking in front of me before had stopped for a short PDA. All he did when he saw this was the usual 'Hurry along to class!' that he gives everybody else. Along with the 'wow, I'm not alone even if it is a small town...' feeling, I couldn't help but feel happy that people out here have such an open-mindedness about this.

So, I called my mom after third period. The school's GSA members posted fliers all over school advertising a bimonthly meeting schedule (Thursday's, 2:45 to 3:30) and I asked if I could go to the meeting without mentioning specifics. So, I'm in the school's GSA. And I learned that another of my friends is the group's treasurer. At least I'll have somebody to talk to while I'm there, just in case.

I wish our school had a GSA! Then again all the stupid rednecks would then know who to kill!

So, the GSA meeting is tommorow...I'm feeling kinda anxious. I may be participating in the Day of Silence, but I'm not sure. In other news, my cat, who has been fixed and declawed, is back home. She's sleeping at the moment, and is supposed to have a lot of rest over the next ten days to heal. I'm just glad she's okay...
I've been taking some time to develop characters for different roleplays that I'm gonna ask my friend about next time she's on. Her comp's down, so she hasn't been on for a while. So far I've got two new ones and a list of names in case inspiration strikes.

Just got on after the GSA meeting (it was actually an hour and a half ago but I ate and bathed first). IT WAS GREAT! I had two of my friends giving me 'speak up and tell them already dammit' looks about halfway through ( xd ), and passed around a bag of skittles (Taste the rainbow feck yeah!). The next meeting is in two weeks, the eighth of May, and I'm definitely looking forward to it. In other news, the day of silence is on from the minute I get out of my mom's car to the minute I get back in it. Not sure how I'm gonna handle cross-age tutoring, but I'm usually correcting papers or copying, so that should be fine. I'm bringing in a bunch of markers tommorow and a few of us are gonna decorate each others shirts and faces (shirts with random designs, bedazzler possible~!, and faces with little cheek-rainbows heart ). I'm definitely looking forward to it, and hope that nobody gives me crap. On the other hand, if they do, there's always common speech sign language ( rofl ).
See you all tommorow!

The Day of Silence at school went well! Last night, when we got our shirts for it, we were warned to be careful because there might be retaliation, and to travel around school together. However, nobody, as far as I know, was bothered at all today, and the only mention of anything was this morning with a 'what's all this about?' and this afternoon, during sixth period, when the class ignorant b***h called someone a carpet-muncher. Even with the fact that, during my first period Gym, I'm grouped with a blatant homophobe who does actually know that I'm a lesbian and has come to terms with that, nothing happened. We actually spent twenty minutes or so talking (him normally, me with a notebook and marker)!

5-6-08 Well, today was the Senior Project presentation day. (Bleck, it sucks.) I was at school all day wih nothing to do. The plus side though is that the next GSA meeting is this week. It seems like forever ago that the first one happened, and I'm looking forward to the next one. I'm thinking of coming out at the next one to the group, but I'm kinda nervous. Encouragment?

If you feel comfortable and safe then go for it! Do your parents know? If not you might want to take that in consideration!

5-8-08 I did it. I walked to the whiteboard in the room and wrote 'I'm a lesbian!' in big letters.
But nobody noticed. xd
Then I went over to the friend who had been glaring at me last meeting and told her 'if you want people to know, you say it since it didn't work for me.' And she did.
Only like three people heard, and one of them claimed I had told her before ( confused ) Which is impossible, since the time she claimed I had told her, I didn't even know myself...
