Do me a favor and discuss the current metagame. Metagame, for those who don't know, is the way people are playing the tournments at any given time. For example: right now metaknight would be considered the current metagame. People are spaming the "B" move over and over to rack up damage. If you block said attack they run up and grab you. Once they have accumulated enough damage they use the "up B" attack and usually get a kill. Then they lather, rinse, and repeat. So there you have it. One basic use of a character that is dominating the tournment scene. Discuss your take on the matter. Is it cheap or valid? Are there ways around it? Enjoy. mrgreen

Well I have been on the tournament scene as of late and I can tell you the only thing taking these things is Snake, which is a great counter to meta knight, and then you have meta knight who is sharing his fair share of wins along side mr snake there.
From what I have seen it is really hard to counter these two and have a ton of success mainly because they have some really cheap moves and they both share a even great amount of priotry over there opponent.

in RBF picks up meta knight
to do that s**t, im ripping their
balls of and pulling them in a
microwave...
KSK always says, you wouldn't
be able to do this s**t in melee,
you'd get your a** beat.

I second the motion.
But I believe that we have always been apart of the reistence so I dont believe in everyone dropping there chars to pick up gay meta knight. I think if we all pick up counters for him and him only we should do better in tournies.
But then you still have gay olimar and cheap a** picka.
It never ends in this game. This game really does take no skill and I cant believe the way people play. Its like there happy that a game was made like this. They spam and spam cause they know it will work. I swear you did stuff like that in melee you would most defiantly get your a** kicked.

I have more of a problem with Ike. Ike players think they're good because they can kill you with 3 moves.
EDIT: they /think/ they can.

both olimar and pika can seriously stand in one spot and spam moves. Then you get near them and they have really powerful smashes or overpowered grabs (olimar)
I dont know really how to explain it man you just have to fight against it.

I only seen one Olimar, but it was really bad.
if everyone played like that one guy, they could be pretty "good"
BTW he held down smashes,
constantly shield-grabbed,
and used the range without
risk that olimar has... pretty homo
