I'm really considering it..... i still can't get over the thought that i might get banned again plus i really find it difficult to enjoy using this site anymore.
The more i think of leaving, the better it sounds. Is anybody else thinking of this?
Oh BTW, its not the only reason i'm thinking of it, i'm thinking of it as i am becoming quiet bored with Gaia in general. Its taken me a whole week to decide not to play on my Xbox 360 and log in here instead.

The site is growing too fast in a lot of different directions. I think Gaia has lost its course, and as such, is slowly losing its soul.
They want a lot in a short time. Some compromises must be made, such as some weird advertisements and sponsors. Sponsors work with numbers; they want to place ads in a place where the message will reach a certain number of people. And this is where Gaia plays with numbers saying that they have a certain amount of users (actually accounts, and most of them mules. To keep the sponsors they need to pump up the number of players, so an account is “blocked” and not banned, since this way it still counts as a user.
To attract new users Gaia tries to have everything other sites like this have and more, all at the same time.
In marketing this is a bad strategy. The best way is to make the product not like a spin off something that’s already in the market, but instead, create an image that’s different this product from all others. And this is made by betting on what brought the players here in the first place: funny avis and a great friendly community. A better town system and a nicer forum would be a good bet.
So while crunching numbers we, the users, become a number in a statistic. There’s a certain uneasiness all over Gaia, like we’ve been neglected and forgotten. MCs are getting worst every month with spin off in the cash shop. Evolving Items are nice, but they require real money. And there’s nothing happening. Only empty promises of thing to come in the not so near future.
Money, money, money. There’s nothing fun about that.
All the attention that Gaia’s getting brings in hackers, trolls and botters, and there’re no efficient ways of dealing with them; because they are also a number in the users statistic, and since all Gaia staff is either making promises, castles in the clouds or appeasing sponsors we get… nothing.
Only Gaidin seems to still have a soul.
I don’t blame you if you leave Gaia. I myself like to play word bump as much as solitaire, so it’s something I usually do on my free time, and only a bit at a time.

But now that I look at your Avi I see that there are a lot of cool items there. That represents a lot of time and dedication.
A great love when it’s not answered can turn into the same amount hate… and disappointment.
Try thinking why you joined Gaia, why you’re thinking on quitting and then, do what you think is right.
And if you’re going to quit for good you can send some of those awesome items for people in need, like the March 10th charity (or me) or send them as gifts for your friends, those who made Gaia special and funny.

I don't blame anyone for considering leaving Gaia.
For myself, it hasn't gone that far yet. I'm on Gaia because I love my friends here. Sure, I like my pixels too but they lose their worth to me if I don't have the social value on them. Such as items friends donated to me, or memories of how I obtained my pixels by spending time with my friends.
I can't leave Gaia because of my friends. I still love it here. It's more than games and a dress-up doll for me. But there have been times when Gaia has only been that, and that's also when I've left Gaia for a few months at a time.
I hope you do what you feel is best, but if you do decide to stay, remember the good parts of Gaia and stick with those. So you don't tire of it again.

I would have if my account had not been unblocked and I would have probably gotten back round to my PS2 and Harvest Moon/ Kingdom Hearts games which I haven't touched in months.
I'm just annoyed by the current raid and the disturbing images *still* finding their ways into posts and pms though phished accounts... I don't even hang out on the forums now because of it and stick to the guilds instead. sweatdrop
I hope you do change your mind though, perhaps a break isn't a bad idea, but permanently would be sad. neutral

yeah, i would have quit if i didn't get my main back. but i might have to quit anyway so that i get my degree. :/ but at least i will be walking away on my own terms, not out of frustration or loss of confidence in this site.

Are you going to give your items away? (Sorry if that sounded selfish or self-centred, I just think it is sad to see items people want go to waste)

I'm with you on that one..
I'm considering leaving too.. but I just can't bring myself to actually do it because of mates.
But instead of leaving i've just cut down a lot of time on gaia..
Better in the long run because now i'm more out and about =P
It is getting less interesting and I am getting fed up with all these botter and scammers -__-

Sorry for the late reply everyone, GTA 4 on the Xbox 360 is taking over my life LOL
I have decided what to do. I WILL stay, but kind of slightly inactive, like i will still log in, but only every few weeks. I wont be spending any money here anymore untill I feel I'm here often enough to get my pennys worth. So pretty much I will log in sometimes just to play games, check up on my friends and check up on the guilds. Maybe sometimes check the forums too.
I don't think I could bring myself to quit permanently as the curiosity to see whats new just gets to me, plus I have grown attached to my overpriced pixles
Untill Gaia changes some how, my Xbox 360 shall be my wallet drainer for now LOL
Has anything much happened in the guild lately? or have we all finally been swept under the carpet like Gaias shameful secret so they don't risk putting of new people willing to spend money?
