Is it really that bad?
Tripping can occur randomly, but it often occurs after a move that increases your susceptibility to tripping. Utilts cause this mostly. So tripping can be used as a stradegy in game.
I've also noticed that recovery after a trip is not THAT bad. There are very few fames that you cannot throw up a shield or dodge during recovery.

it sometimes ruins my plans but when my friend was about to hit me with samuses blaster i tripped and dodged it, thank you tripiing!

Occasionally I will trip right in front of my opponent, only to be hit with a heavily charged foward/up/down smash.

when a projectile is shoot at u and u trip doesnt it miss u?

let me guess when u have high damage and thers a heart container and u and ur opponent r racing to get it and u trip and ur opponent gets it and kills u?

Sometimes tripping is annoying, but I always use it to my benefit the best that I can. Other than that, it's just a minor annoyance.

You trip by performing an action that increases your chances of tripping, generally things that throw your fighter off-balance before starting a dash, I.E. Dashing and then dashing in the other direction immediately afterward or Up-tilt then dashing immediately afterward. It also has a random occurance rate of 1-2%, and only happens when you start the dash animation...and when you hit a banana peel.
Unlucky trips are more likely, but lucky trips can happen as well. Other than that, it occurs so rarely that I find little use in complaining about it.

Its kinda annoying, but it doesnt happen frequently enough to annoy me... besides, its kinda funny sometimes, but it usulaly doesnt affect how i play.
