i've been thinking a lot lately. you do tons of things a week, but how many times in that week do you actually take in the beauty of the simplest things? the color of a flower, the gentle sway of the plants in the breeze, the magnificent movement of the smallest insects. how often do we take the time to appreciate these tiny, simple things? how often do we thank them for being there to support us? if there's one thing i know it's that, if your ever feeling lonely, they're always there to talk to you, to listen to you, to be your friends. plants, insects, the sky, the wind, everything in general, we owe time to love and appreciate them. if we can't love our earth, how do we expect it to love us? it needs love, care, and apraise just like humans do... it needs us just like we need it...
i'm sorry, i see things in a greatly different way from other people. i think it may be from having an eye for art. that and i'm a very emotional person.
((i wonder if anyone knows what i'm saying. i usually never talk like this although i wish i did. i have a feeling my friends would laugh at me though. well that's a story for another time.))

I understand what you're saying. I do take the time every day to look at something that most people don't and take it in, loving every moment of it. It was snowing today and where I live it shouldn't at the end of April. I walked outside of school and walked through the snow with my head and arms up, enjoying every moment of the snow.

This is a beautiful idea Lirmaer, if only more people thought like that more often. It's hard when we get caught up with so many things to stress about though. I love the sound of rain on the roof. smile

Chesska: wow! i haven't seen snow in years! when i used to live in tennessee i loved it when it snowed because it was a chance to see something amazing! snow holds many strange and beautiful secrets, if only i could go back and see it again. man it's been 5 years now. XD such wonderful times
Aecatgirl: oh, i love the sound of rain on the roof! it's best with a tin roof because it's nice and loud, it lulls me to sleep sometimes. it's such a cool sound!

i´m afraid these things go past me really easily redface
i don´t ever take some time and look at these things more closely, mostly i hate the rain cause it´s wet and the snow cause it´s cold....
but it´s true that this sound of the rain really makes me sleepy

Astharte i´m afraid these things go past me really easily redface i don´t ever take some time and look at these things more closely, mostly i hate the rain cause it´s wet and the snow cause it´s cold.... but it´s true that this sound of the rain really makes me sleepy lol. ^_^ it seems like it's like this for a lot of people. don't worry about it. just find something about nature you like and take a little time to admire it. if you hate nature, then find something nice indoors and admire it. wow right now i wish i could admire a cup of hot chocolate.... *attacks pantry* domokun

I agree completely. It's sad that most of us have to go through tremendous loss before we realize the value of everything around us.
Every few nights, I go through tremendous pain that has me crippled in bed, trying not to scream, and once the pain eventually lessens, I begin to appreciate everything. I appreciate every breath that I can take without wanting to scream in agony. Yet, the next day, I begin to take it all for granted again, until the next flare up.

(if you don't mind me asking) the reason why i think like i do and try not to take things for granted is because when i was 4 my uncle died. i'm okay with it now and everything. now back to you, why are you crippled with pain every night? (god, i'm nosy, you don't have to answer if you don't want to)

I like when it rains when I'm on a really long drive. I put on some soft music and turn the heat up. It makes me feel nice.

It makes me feel nice. it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside XD i love when i snuggle up in bed with baggy clothes on, some hot chocolate, and a cold night when it's raining. it's nice

Everybody lives their life like a bullet. Nobody really takes the time to stop and think about anything. After you get out of school it is consent. There seems to be no downtime where you can be happy and go crazy to enjoy the simpler things in life.

There seems to be no downtime where you can be happy and go crazy to enjoy the simpler things in life. this is true, but you live in a constant and hectic world. we all do. but no matter what i believe that even if it's just for an instant, just taking taht slplit second to look out the window, breathe in teh fresh air, or even notice how beautiful it is outside is worth it. and it won't waste anytime. this earth is too beautiful to go unnoticed but it does. and i think it's unfair. it may not be perfect but it's the only earth we've got so why not enjoy it while we have it?
