No Spring break here...but they do have what is called 'schoolies' in which every 17 year old migrates up north to the warmer weather and indulges in a week long booze up. And whatever comes with being drunk for a week.

I am past that though so instead I bank up my annual leave...ot six weeks, and I took a month off. In that time I broke 2 lawnmovers, finished the other half of painting the kitchen, realised I need to rip something off the wall and will need to paint underneath it, went on a 2000 km road trip, caught up on a lot of sleep and got the flu. I think I am over it but my ears are just soooooo blocked now that i need a change in air pressure to clear them 'laugh out loud'!!!!.

And it is now Autumn here, but still hot enough to scoot down to the beach for a swim. Hope you enjoyed your spring break tho.

^^Australia.. maybe?

Yeah sure is Australia, and I think we just have different names. Tho schoolies is party for the last year of highschool, before people choose to go to uni or find work, or do nothing for a while. I mean 12 years of school can be pretty tiring.

'O' week is the introduction week to university where all have to drink lots of beer and party before classes start. Good to begin and end things with a party I think 'laugh out loud' eek

^Lucky guess. You mentioned that you're in autumn right now (which is what the southern hemisphere is currently facing), and I figured that since you speak fluent English, or so I see in your posts, you're most likely from Australia/Australasia/Land Down Under/whatever you'd like to call home. I'd like to go visit there, at least on the coast. Not inland, as from what I hear, it's mostly desert. And also, I want to go deep-sea diving there (I've seen programmes about marine life in the Pacific near Australia- it's beautiful!!!).

Yes I gotta say it is a great place to live. If you got yourself a map, I live right down south of the country in the bottom non left hand corner. Today has been the first day it has gotten quite cold, so I wasn't going to go for a swim. The beach is only a kilometre away. But some o my friends dont care and swim anyway. I would much prefer the hot springs down the road, but they are pricing out the locals crying . Central Oz is great, but many people, especially those from high density countries (the average is 117 people per square mile, U.S 76 ppl per square mile, we have 16 'laugh out loud') are struck by the sheer openness. But there is nothing better than waking up camped on the nullabor plain and see nothing. But it is the beach for me....or the snowfields. but we dont get snow like other places, but hey you can't have everything...where would you put it? eek

I see you don't use the "r" word in any context? How do you manage that talking to someone? They'll automatically say, 'oh, don't you mean "right"?' or something to that effect.
