Tall buildings, dark alleys, god-like corporations, and shady characters on every street corner. Sounds like the average city, doesn't it? Well, this IS the average city. More specifically, a melding of New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, and possibly many other cities.
Like the above mentioned cities, the City has a coast and a harbor, though it will be in the south. Outside of this great metropolis is untamed wilderness and farmland where few venture, but sometimes the farmers/hunters commute into town to peddle their wares. There is no suburbia, either you live in the City, or you live in the wilds.
Like the average city, people are everywhere, scurrying hither and thither like ants, all in a hurry to go nowhere. But underneath this mundane exterior is a sub-universe, a world within a world. This city is not only home to the scurrying humans, but also to the ones that prey upon them. Creatures of legend; Vampyres and Fera.
Normally, a city is ruled by a governor/mayor, and so is this one, but only superficially. In reality, the City belongs to the vampyre Queen, and she rules justly, yet strictly. Her secret police and royal judges are everywhere, waiting and watching for one of their kind to step out of line. The fera are ruled by their tribal leaders, and most of them stay in the wilds, but some, who can stomach the pollution in both air and spirit, dwell in the apartment houses and on the streets.
Most humans don't even know about these hunters in their midst. But some do. The hunters that hunt the hunters. Vampyre slayers, vampyre hunters, and fera poachers live in the city and the wilds as well, but they are fighting a losing battle. Humankind is slowly becoming the stupid herd animal the vamps want them to be and fera fear them to be.
Are you predator, or prey? Human or legend? perhaps you can change the fate of this city.

1 ) it is assumed that the City is the ONLY city. It has no name, and neither does the country it resides in, though it's mostly American in culture.
2 ) The City is assumed to be all there is to the world (no "out of towners") and can be any size that is convenient at the time. If it takes one express subway to go from one end to the other then so be it. If it takes five days walking then so be it.
3 ) you can name the streets anything you want. The only geography that stays the same is that the Queens building is the tallest building in the city and it is roughly in the middle, and the coast line is in the south.
4 ) mundane police still exist and may ticket/arrest characters if they do something unlawful in full view of the public. Do not depend on the Queen/tribal leader to save you if you go to jail because you were stupid.
5 ) the Queen is an NPC and only I control her.
6 ) this is a serious RPT so i should not see any OOC comments, or posts less than two paragraphs. (a paragraph has at least three sentences)
7 ) this RPT uses a device i will call a TimeTable. in the first RP post I will post a time. from there all posts must have a time close to that time. the length of time allowed in a post is anywhere from three seconds (action scene) to an hour. no posts that take more than an hour to accomplish in real time. you are not required to post end time.
8 ) PM me with any questions, but if it is a question easily answered in any of the info threads or this thread, then it will be ignored and counted as a breach of the rules.
