I've been having a great time making these little creature/figure/dolls for the last few months.

I've included a link to a video/slide show of the latest creation*.

You are amazing! How long did each doll(figure, thing) take?

These are incredible! Your sculpts are beautiful and unique. I LOVE seeing a truly distinct style. I especially love how expressive they are! They have their own little lives, don't they.
You have made my day.

P.S. Geez, drink enough Frappuccino?

Thank you. I really appreciate it.

And yeah, I think they do... I've a story planned for them... just have to write it. smile

as to the Frappuccinos.. I don't normally drink them, but those were the holiday peppermint and chocolate, and I couldn't help myself. Only a half a day.. and as I live on a top level of our apartment and am rather lazy... *cringe* hmmm... maybe I can make things out of glass bottles!

I absolutely love your sculpturing style! Your characters have so much personality. I would buy up your work if I could...hahaha

I feel so inspired to make new stuff now smile

Wow, they're so very alive that the not-quite-human anthropomorphic look of them becomes really unsettling... These are amazing. I've seen this type of sculpture before, but not with anthro-fantasy styled characters... They're just fabulously crafted and beautiful, but I don't know if I'd want one because it would scare the hell out of me in the dark...

These are so lovely! They have such character, you must be so proud! Well done!

These are inspiring. How do you design them? Do they just take shape under your hands or do you sketch ideas first? Or do you start with an idea and then let it develop as you sculpt/create? Have you considered selling these? I'd have trouble parting with them if I made them but I suspect there are many people who would buy one of these...

Are they articulated or pose able at all or are they stationary?

Thank you, Haloquine. : )

I've made a little more than ten of them so far (given away most of them), I sketched two of them with the intent of sculpting them as I was putting together a show/collection that featured the two characters: Mogi and Echo. I hadn't really been sure at the time that I could do it... but I think they turned out rather well.

Some of the finished colored pieces

This latest dude (I still don't know what to call 'im... the puff guy with a bag) started with a sketch... I just wanted to see what I could do. I'm quite proud of him... but I don't know if I'm sure enough about them to start selling them. <_<"

Yet, if I don't... I think my husband will disown me (our apartment can only hold so many). Mogi and Echo didn't sell.. and as I made them to do just that... they and (most) of the show that accompanied them will be up on my site for sale right soon... that said... it's been slightly jarring to feel so attached to these little wire and fuzz creatures... I've rarely felt so possessive of my sketches...

Thanks for the interest smile

They are both smile They have an understructure/skeleton, if you will, of armature wire and before they're covered in squishy batting I add (tape) wooden skewers to the wire to only allow it to bend where I want... elbows and knees and such.

The hands and feet don't bend of course... but they sit like sitting pros... as well as hold necklaces with one outstretched arm.
