I've noticed that a lot of your avatars have a similar look. Brown, with goggles. (Duh)
My avatar seems to fit, but I actually had this one before I knew anything about Steampunk...
Anyway, do you guys have any awesome Steampunk avatars you've created or made on Tektek?
Have you seen any awesome ones?
Are YOU awesome? razz

Mine is a bit strange... It mixes the styles of Steampunk and 1940's depictions of German soldiers. The book is supposed to signify a bit more of the older bit of my outfit... All in all, I wanted a bit of a "Soldat" look, mixed with a Gas Mask, and a book for good measure.
Brown is a good color, but black works well when it comes to "Secret Soldiers" and such.
I'll post TekTek's later.

I came up with this one recently. She's a refined lady, but also an adventurer. With a parasol to keep the discomfort of the sun from her fair features she wears amour, carries a blade and is in position of a fantastic ocular device.
The animal she picked up on a journey, and has been a faithful companion throughout her many and varied adventures.

Well, the one I have on right now (and I think I'll keep around for a while, off and on) is a sort of everyman who happened to acquire a set of mechanical wings. Although I'm reasonably sure the umbrella contains a single-use close-range flamethrower that I'm trying to work out the mechanics of...

I tried my hardest to make mine as steampunk as possible without just being another person wearing all brown and goggles. ^_^;

Normally my avi is steampunk. Ya know the typical brown and white with the goggles but she seemed to fit. Right now Ophelia is trying to fit into the normal victorian classification lol

My avatar has a few steampunk outfits... they are all supposed to be basically the same character, a street urchin turned adventurer who gets into and out of fantastic scrapes with flair, panache, and no regard for property or personal safety. Current avatar: At the Opium Den: TM Lolita: Steam-ish, but not related to the character: Facist Fashionista: Japanese Steampunk: The Kraken: Actually.... that last one was just playing around, but it does appeal... I think I'm going to go be a kraken now. biggrin

If you wanted to be strict, its not really fitting with the Victorian classification, but the rococo one. <3 They're the "French aristocracy" clothing.

I'm a big fan of the goggles. Here's my very spiffy former avatar:
