I am in general a little disturbed by Darren Aronofsky's work. In particular Requiem For A Dream was probably one of the most disturbing movies I have seen.
The Fountain is excellent on many levels. Love, loss, death, disease. It is challenging and heartbreaking. Never have I been so happy to see a movie that has lost it's financing and its "Moviestars" and be made into what has to be a much better movie. I could not picture Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett (well, maybe her, but definitely not him) in the lead roles.
Do we truly die if we continue to exist in someone's memory?

I thought it was amazing and certainly Aronofsky's masterpiece.
