So this will be mostly stuff I've done in school for the moment. But hopefully soon I'll have the time to do more stuff on my own!! =^_^= So here goes!

Jester (Tragedy)
This is my latest endeavor, its still in the construction stages. Its the first in a series of four costumes that I'm doing for my Thesis. This one is Tragedy. The first picture is the concept rendering and the second pic is from the last fitting I did, which was actually yesterday. Opinions are appreciated!! (just remember that its not finished yet XD)

Angel Tree
I did this for my Movie Miniature Models class. Its going into the showcase at school soon. I'm very proud of it =^_^=

Rag Doll
This is actually one of my FAVORITES. I'm SO proud of it. I did the make up, which was a prosthetic, and I made the gloves and stockings. I didn't make the dress, I actually designed the whole thing around the dress.

Miniature Set of a Mediaval Tavern
(I should have a better picture of it soon)

The Lizard-Owl
This was the final result of the 2 part Mechanical Creatures class I had to take. I'm actually pretty proud of it. It moves!! XD

Thats it for now! I'll probably have more soon though! =^_^=

wow very impressive collection! I'd love to see what your owl lizard does lol. One minor critique is that your bruise makeup will look a little more real if you use undertones of yellow and green especially near the edges. Even if its supposed to be a recent bruise and you cover up all the green and yellow it will give it more depth and tone to it. Also if the bruise is anywhere over a few hours old (even fresh on some people though it depends on skins health) will have some of the yellow and green showing round the edges of the bruise. The more of them the older the bruise will usually appear.

These are actualy real bruises but they make great ref pics so I keep them around

even in the third one which is more of a scrape than a bruise you can see the undertone of yellow bruise

I apologize for going on about that I'm just really into bruise and injury makeup lol. I really really think your collection of work is just great though smile

hehe thanks! The owl doesn't really do much. His eyes move left and right, he blinks and his beak opens and closes all by remote control. It was such a pain to do though >_< Thanks for the critique on my make up!! I know its not the best, and it probably looked better IRL, I always hate what the camera does to make up. Now that I look at I agree with you completely. That was done a few years ago and I haven't really done much make up since. The reason I was so proud of that one is because after I did it the guy went outside (we were at a coffee shop) and started telling passers by that he got mugged and he ended up getting somthing like $5 in about 10 minutes. I thought that was hilarious. (btw I didn't tell him to do that, he just walked off then came back a little later and told me what happened XD)

lol thats great! I once was bet to go to the snack shop by our capus dorm with black eye makeup on and a different time grossed out an army vet with my "pussing wound" lol Oh I miss those days smile And I know what you mean about not looking right in pictures. For Halloween one year I did fake infected piercings on my nose mouth and eyebrow and they looked sooo good but all the pics I got of it were on disposable flash cameras in a dark bar so all the fake scar stuff looks pastey white and soooo obvious sad sad *le sigh*

Very awesome stuff, I especially like the tavern. Quick question: are there any texts out there that you would recommend for someone trying to build a similar mechanism as the Lizard-owl? Say, someone with basic mechanical and engineering skills looking to build a remote control puppet for a cosplay.

oh wow, thats a hell of a lot of work and money for a cosplay. The transmitters/recievers alone cause $150 and up, not to mention the servos and the material. As for books on mechanical creatures, I'm not sure really. My teacher for that class was all into image reference. He was always telling us to look things up rather than actually showing us and he said to watch the special features on movies with lots of mechanical creatures and stuff like that. Most joints are pretty easy to make as long as you have the right equipment, except for eyes. Eyes are a f**king pain in the a**. What kind of puppet did you want to do?

I was working on a design for a Kirara (InuYasha) and MoonDragon (Mamotte Shuugogetten) using a cable control similar to these puppets, but I want to do more than just move the head. I was going to strip down and mod a remote control car for the primary source of movement since it doesn't have to be very smooth movement, and use wire-reinforced polymer or wood for the inner structure since I don't have access to laytex.

Mostly I just want to do to see if I can sweatdrop

Always wanted to work in the Jim Hensen Creature factory

What course?
Well, its a three year long course...called college. Very expensive, very time consuming, and great way to loose your sanity and have your dreams for the future crushed.
