 Savannah rested lazily under a tree in the shade listening to birds and cleaning her fur. She was pulling out a bramble from her tail when she heard the giggling kits run by chasing something. She inwardly sighed wishing someday she would have her own. she then remembered that it just turned to spring and all of life was blooming again, maybe spring would bring someone to her.....

Albartus walked through the kits that were playing, watching them carefully with his good eye. He chuckled as a few of them played tag; it certainly was amusing. He picked his way carefully, doing his best to keep out of all the little games that were going on, his bat-like wings giving a small flutter.

Savannahs ears pricked up at the sound of small wings flutter and looked and saw a beautiful white male coming near her. thinking she decided to get his attention by playing a small game, carefully taking her excess fur and making it into a ball she started playing and fell on her back and batted the fluff with her feet and tossing the ball near the guy's nose.....

Albartus would have never seen Savannah if she hadn't done that, since his bad eye was in her direction. He blinked as a ball of fluff suddenly flew across his vision in front of his nose.
He looked around, confused at first, before he saw another Ulaya that wasn't a kit sitting under a tree. He gave her a smile and bowed his head, but wasn't sure if he'd approach.

savannah laughed seeing the fluffball settle on his paw. She then smiled closing her eyes and looking happy," you got something on you."

"Do I now? If it's on my left side, I honestly wouldn't know." Ah yes, his left side; his blind side. It was so troublesome at times.
He walked up to her. "You look almost lonely. I'm Albartus."

"Hi Albartus, I am Savannah and I am somewhat new here. I am used to tall trees and large valleys and meadows. Here I am without family and I hardly know anyone, but hey it is spring which is the start of something new." going over she flicked the fluffball off him.

Albartus chuckled as the female spoke; she certainly was a bubbly thing, that was for sure. "Thank you." He gave her a small bow with his head when she removed to fluffball off of him.
"I see, that makes both of us new to the area. It's quite nice here..." He looked around, trying to decide if this would be home or not; he'd been wandering for a while, exploring different places.

Savannah settled down," yes it is quite nice here but when the wind beckons me I will have to follow, I I know when I stop I will be happy," giving way to a sincere heartfelt smile.

Albartus nodded. "I understand how that is; it's nice to find one who has the same tendencies." He smiled warmly to her. "Would you mind if I spent the rest of the day to get to know you...?"

He nodded and sat down next to her, keeping his good eye to her and making himself comfortable. "Thank you." He smiled a bit as he watched a kit get pounced upon by a friend from behind a bush.

Savannah sighed beside him feeling the warmth his body emitted." someday I will have kits of my own, maybe 2 or 3, but not till I find someone to care for them too.btw what was your family like?"

"I don't really have one. I haven't found another place to settle into, and where I once lived, the water sourced dried up and never came back...." He gave a soft snort-like laugh at the thought of children. He agreed with Savannah; they might be nice with the right mate. He knew better than to rush things.

Savannah," I never have seen alot of water before, maybe I will try swimming someday, but for now relaxing is best." with that she stretched out to sun herself.
