Something really popular among BDSM enthusiasts is body modification-- piercings and tattoos especially. I was just wondering everyone's opinions on the matter. What do you find appealing as far as these? What repels you? What would you be willing to get? So on and so forth.

(i'm sorry if any of this is confusing; i'm on painkillers for my migrane so i might not make sense)

I personally adore how piercings feel. The rush I get from recieving them is incredibly intoxiacting and erotic; even though it's done in a piercing parlor and in no way sexual. I think needle play is hot as hell, and body modification of any sort is intriguing. Having hooks through my skin and behing hung from the ceiling would be a very enlightening experience.

Scarification is incredibly interesting, and something I want to get done someday. I think it's gorgeous when it's healing and healed, although you have to make sure to have it done right.

Piercings are another matter. I love how they feel when they are done, but they don't always look good. Some people don't have the right body type, and some get too many. Although they always feel amazing, they don't always look as amazing. If someone is going to get a permanent piercing and not a play piercing, they should consider it very carefully.

I don't personally like tattoos. I've never felt them, so I don't know if it's intoxicating to have them done or not. But I don't like how most of them look. Even the really good ones just look like people have things drawn on their skin, it doesn't look natural, and it simply doesn't appeal to me. The only ones I really like are the either black or dark green ones that are tribal-esque and rather natural looking. Those are.. nifty.

Although just a warning, some of the pictures are definetely not PG-13. But they'll warn you whenever you're going to a section that's inappropriate for younger eyes. It's very well moderated.

Yay Mors! I don't know why I never posted a body modifications thread before. Maybe I thought about it once but got distracted before I could do it.
:3 Anyways. On to things actually pertaining to the thread topic!

I love body modifications-- to a certain extent.

Piercings: I like bunches of ear piercings (though.. any more than 8 or so might just look excessive) and most facial piercings. The ones I plan on getting are labret, eyebrow, and (possibly) nose. In that order. I'm getting the first one done in September when I turn eighteen and am legal. I want to get several more ear piercings.

On other people.. It just depends. I think more than 3-4 facial piercings is too excessive to be attractive. I like lip (sexy!), labret (sexier!), eyebrow, nose, and tongue piercings. I'm really not too fond of septum piercings.. And I don't think Monroes look good on most people.

A girl at my school has a surface piercing which looks really cool. It's on roughly her cheekbone, sort of down and to the side from the outside corner of her eye. The problem with surface piercings is that some just look.. odd, and they almost always reject. There are ways to get them done so they don't reject. You should research it if you're considering a surface piercing. I think corset piercings can look pretty sometimes, but I'd never get it done.. and I've seen hip surface piercings that are pretty sexy. I don't like many others or just haven't seen any other good ones.

Stretching: First off, I hate stretching for anything other than the ear lobes. I've seen it in tongue, labret, and nose/septum piercings. It scared the hell out of me. I like stretching only to a certain extent, anyway. Anything bigger than 00 is a turn-off for me. That's just too big. I'm currently at 0 for each of the one lobe piercings I have for each ear (*grammarfail*). I probably won't even go to 00, and I sure as hell won't go past it. I loves my 0s, though. I can put a pencil through my ear!

Tattoos: Well, I have a few tattoo ideas of my own. I'm afraid to post them for fear of someone peaking into the guild and stealing my ideas, but you can certainly PM me if you're curious! I think.. tattoos can be pretty sexy. It depends on what it is though, really.. Though they usually look pretty awesome, anyway.
Most of them, that is.

Now to explain my recent fascination with modification.

Okay, I had until very recently a virgin body in many ways. Sure, my ears were double pierced and I had my Alien Mark (gotta get a picture of it-- on the left side of my mid-to-lower back is a half0inch blue line we hypothesize I got from sleeping on an ink pen; my sister insists it's proof I was abducted by aliens, hence the name).

When I started seeing this couple, I realised just how popular body modifications were, especially among those in BDSM. My girlfriend has six piercings-- on in each ear, both nipples, a "lower place" (ten points if you guess it), and belly button. She also has three tattoos (I can get pics of these-- they're all in G-rated places; one is Tinkerbell in bondage on her shoulder blade, another is a sun/moon symbol on her right thigh, and the last is a 'slut' tattoo [I kid you not] on her lower back). Now, while that's a bit too much for me, I still felt quite plain next to her usually. She has this long, tanned, decorated body, while mine is all pale and soft curves.

I've always wanted to do something to give myself more ownership of my body. I love her piercings-- well, the n****e-and-belly-button ones. My mom would kill if she saw me pierced any place other than my ears, so I got my nipples done Wednesday. I don't regret it at all. I absolutely love them.

I've also been thinking of tattoos. I've been contemplating them for years. My brother has two-- a cross and his son's name. Mine would be Latin. I've thought about getting one over my alien mark. No way my mom would argue covering an accident. And with something as harmless as a Latin phrase.

My three favouries are Ora Et Labora (pray and labour, which to me means, 'Work diligently and hope for the best, make yourself a better person'), SPQR (the Roman motto), and Omni iam fient fieri quae posse negabam (everything I used to think could not happen is happening now... this one would maybe circle an ankle, not go on my back). If I ever got them.

If tattoos make me feel anything like the piercings, like my body is fully mine, my vessel rather than an awkward shell, then I'm seriously considering it, though I won't make any rash decisions. One of the plus sides to the piercings is that I can at least take them out and pretend I never got them...

Secondly....my guess is either VCH or Christina. Mostly...because those are the only names coming to mind without help.

*scowls* I was gonna guess VCH...

I might get my ears pierced again but beyond that would be hesitant to do any type of body modification (i am not big on needles and such) and would only consider doing it if was important to my dom once collared as a sign of his ownership like a brand whether be a tattoo, or some other kind of brand or any other type of body modification he might require of me. If not collared wouldn't do it because permanent and will be there forever.

Can you wear a bra with the n****e piercings without discomfort? And do they show at all through your clothing?
