His love for stories was unimaginable by any means. His love for once-upon-a-times was surprising to anyone who did not know him well. His love for happily-ever-afters was astonishing - though admittedly, he loved the occasional melancholy of an ending just as well. Most of all, he loved sharing the stories he collected with acquaintances. And he loved it when they had stories to share with him. Learning was his pastime, and he cherished discovery. He cherished those that were like him, and he cherished those that were different. Friendship, trust, loyalty - everything was important to him; and he had learned that they should be from the stories that he carried upon his fur.
What he wished for right now was a friend that he could share one of those stories with. Someone who was patient; who could sit still, with the occasional interruption of a question, perhaps a comment. Even if the comment was to inform him that they did not like the story... conversation would be enough, learning about other Kitsu would be enough. What would be amazing was if someone had a story to share with him...
Any of that would bring with it happiness.
But he was alone.
Legend lay upon the dirt, beneath an old tree that leaned overhead like an elderly man. His furred jaw rest upon his paws tiredly, his features upset as he waited for someone - anyone - to stroll by.

Pop~
It was the only warning in the clearing to Nahanni's sudden appearance. Where it was empty just seconds before, now sat a petite and mocha colored femme. And though her frame was tense as it always seemed to be, her eyes held a light bafflement. W...Where was she? "Oh darn it all..." Her whisper turned into a small pout as she looked to her paws, the two clinging softly to her fan. Her family 'emblem' of sorts...at least from her mother's side. This was an unexpected result. She had spoken the incantation for transport, yes. But the magic, or her tongue, had faltered. And now she didn't know where she was.
Murky eyes peeked around shyly while tails brushed across her sash. It'd be best to just direct herself back home and start from there. It was never too wise to try teleportation magics without full knowledge of your surroundings. Giving a sigh, the girl opened her fan at the ready to repeat her magic, not knowing there were others nearby.

 Pop.
His ears bent casually as the noise entered them, and eyes flicked quietly in the direction of the female. Alas, his wish had been answered; but she seemed of timid demeanor. As though she'd rather he not approach her. Of course, that may have been due to the small fact that she was unaware of his presence entirely. He knitted his brows doubtfully as he watched her. A fan? Legend rose onto his paws quietly, and approached the girl on equally silent feet; the fear of scaring her was great, and hesitantly he spoke: "Excuse me, Miss?" His tone was raspy, eyes calm and sweet, "Are you alright?"
Jumpy - and he was uncertain as to whether or not introducing himself in such a way was appropriate.
Ah, but he hadn't introduced himself quite yet. "Forgive my rudeness; I am Legend, bearer of many tales. It's a pleasure to meet you, miss - and I apologize if I have scared you in any way." Would she care to hear a story, he wondered? A beauty, she was - perhaps patient enough for his tales. Uncertainty.
He opened his mouth to speak, but stopped to await her response, instead.

Had the small adult known there were kitsus around her, learned manners would have been put to quick use. But with her back to the snow male, there was no awareness of her company. Nahanni had her eyes tilted down to the fan, small paws rubbing nervously along it. Surely she hadn't misused the magical terms? She'd just have to be extra careful and fluent this time while speaking. Though when she lifted the fan for a sweep, her mouth slipped open to chant, then...
A voice breathed passed her ear.
With a soft but bell-stricken meep, the female spun on her heel and faced the other. A...a werewolf? Surely not. Though this strangers build was so similiar to her dear brothers...he didn't smell of feral werewolf. All the same, Nahanni cowered at some distance, tails bent under her form. A swift nod. "I..I'm alright..." Just stunned. Soft and deep breaths could be heard as she mutely calmed herself, unable to help her social anxieties.
"Legend? I'm Nahanni....pleasure.." Her eyes trailed to his larger shadow, and she kept tucked to herself. Waiting. Was there something he wanted?

He had, in fact, been quite bold in his approach. She was timid, this he understood. And Legend should have known better than to be so silent when he loomed towards her. How, in heaven's name, had he assumed that the quieter he was, the better? It should have been more than obvious that such things were likely not for the wisest. It was just the opposite, quite actually. A small frown before he parted his lips gently, "I apologize..." The vocalization was softly-spoken, and the snowbound soul tried desperately to show little if any of his disappointment. "It seems that I have truly frightened you. But I can assure you, madam, I meant no harm - merely, I was hoping that I could..." He had no idea how to word this delicately, "What I mean is..." A small frown; how should he say it? Stating bluntly would make him seem strange...
But, admittedly, he was rather strange...
"I was wondering if, perhaps, you might be interested in some story-telling, m'lady? You see, I have been waiting for quite some time beneath that tree for someone to pass. I have many tales that I would adore sharing with you - the problem is just that... well, I really must seem like quite the lunatic..." He offered a gentle smile, "It's alright if you'd rather leave, quite frankly. I was just curious as to whether or not you may want to hear one of the many stories I have told... or perhaps... perhaps"
Perhaps she'd like to tell him a story of her own...
If only, if only.((I apologize immensely for the poor quality of these posts, SA-darling... D; I just can't seem to RP Legend very well, considering this is my first time roleplaying him altogether... x3; I suppose I was just hoping that when I RP'd with your beautifulness for the first time... I would be a little better... >___>; ... D; I truly am sorry~~))

The quiet waiting seemed long and torturous to the slight female. Her palms were sweaty already with the pressure of simply waiting. Tails quivered in rapid shivers near her ankles. And with all this going on, she kept no eye contact; said orbs downcast and shined in anxiety. Long, rabbit style ears perked as his gentle voice spoke up. It was only polite to pay attention still. Words of encouragement and promise were spoken, but Nahanni always took them lightly and half-heartedly. Even with family. So her hunched form remained, but eyes peeked up now. He...had something to ask? With patience learned of having many siblings, Nahanni waited.
Blink. Story telling? "N..no, it's not odd." Many members of her family enjoyed reading, herself included. But to sit down, and hear another speak of a tale. A moment of storytelling? This was new to her. With paws withdrew near her ruff, the female debated this situation. "I...I wouldn't mind hearing a story then..." She blushed, thinking herself now added to this 'lunatic' grouping. Oh dear.
oh goodness Ash, your post is fantastic. Silly goose. XD trust me, I do enjoy well written rps, and yours is definately in that category. <333

At her response, his ears perked. A simultaneous wagging of his tails before he regained his composure, and spoke - rather maladroitly, "Wonderful, wonderful news! I mean - ahem, what I mean is..." He had been waiting a long time for a Kitsu so calm, and she was definitely someone he could see sitting completely quiet whilst she listened to his words - something he did, in fact, enjoy. Not quite as much as he enjoyed questions and comments, but he most certainly preferred it over squirming kits who cared little if at all about the morals that crawled gracefully from his tongue. He offered her a pleasant smile, impressed with her having been so friendly as to agree to listen to a story at all.
He would definitely enjoy befriending her.
At the blush, he drew up his right brow. Perhaps she was not used to speaking so much? But she had spoken so little. Perhaps she was not used to speaking to strangers? Ah yes - that could very well be the case. She was already in the shy category, and just meeting someone, whereupon you speak to them this much if speaking to them at all... there was definitely room for timidity. He understood completely. "What I mean is..." What, precisely, was it that he meant?
"Thank you." A gentle grin before he continued, thoughtfully, "Are there any tales you would like to hear in particular, madam~? I am yours entirely."((Nonsense. xD You're just a sweetie <3 =D Silly thiing~))

Yours entirely? That was something new. Between the chaos of a large family and time spent in potion studies, Nahanni was used to it being split the other way around. A headache it was, most of the time. But for now she lfted her brows in polite bemusement. She wasn't used to being in the presence of another that stuttered or became jittery. Even if it was an excited jittery of storytelling.
Tails swayed back and forth, herself glad to hear a 'thank you' from the other. At least she did something good, yes? "Specific tales? Um..." Did she know any in particular? And even if she did, would she care to hear them over again? How about something new? "Well, if you could, I'd like to hear a tale about.....water?" She flushed all the brighter to her lame explanation. "I mean...like...of fantasies that live there. I..if you don't mind." ^^;
