I'm a college kid, but my boyfriend is a senior... so it looks like I'm crashing his prom with him this weekend.
I'm wearing a dress from Deb that I bought two years ago.. it's a long white gown, with glitter patterned tule draped in the front. Strapples. I had to have it taken in though.. I've gotten smaller over the years.
I always used to boycott prom and ball until two years ago... then I figured why not.
I like the sound of your dress Mr. Darcy. I loooove short dresses... my legs are a little too manly and muscular for them though. It sucks.
Can we post pictures here when we get them? I'd loooove to see the ladies' dresses!

I'm a high school senior and I'm so excited for prom. blaugh
My dress is satin with lace over the skirt. Its 50s style, housewife not Marylin Monroe and its cream colored. It was my moms wedding dress and were having altered to fit me.
Since i don't have a boyfriend I'm going with a ton of my girlfriend's so were defying stereotypes but not boycotting prom.

 We just had our prom. My boyfriend and I are the middle couple. The girl in the red dress is my sister who's a freshman and her date. And the other couple is my brother who's a junior and his date. Three of the five kids in my family went to the same prome.. I thought that was pretty cool!

Mine's tonight at 6pm! 4laugh
My dress has a black bodice and the skirt portion is a metallic grey material that been pleated into really small folds...I really love the way it flows. :]
I have so much to do to get ready...Cleaning the house for the after-prom get-together I'm having, getting my hair done, doing my makeup, and taking pictures with my boyfriend. Plus totally stressing-out over everything. >__>;;

My prom was on Saturday it was so much fun and there were fish. I"ll put pictures up as soon as I recharge my camera. You look beautiful in that picture my the way Miss Moonbeam

I miss prom! crying I graduated college last year and we had a semi-formal dance each year, two of which I wore my old prom dresses to. One was periwinkle with gem covered straps and an asymmetrical hem. My other was black with silver threads, spaghetti straps, empire waist and a little flutter of fabric down the front. It was my favorite ^^
I went to both of my proms stag, having my girl friends as dates since the guys I asked backed out at the last second or went with one of my friends. I still had fun though!

I went to prom on May 16 and had a blast! I wore this knee-length, navy blue, satin shirt dress with a matching clutch and black patent leather heels. I was going with a friend, but she backed out last minute. However, going stag ended up being a blessing in disguise; I was able to mingle as I pleased. The theme was "Hollywood to Bollywood"-gorgeous! All in all, I laughed, danced, and ate some amazing ice cream sundaes with my friends and made some great memories.

LilKitty: I missed out on college dances this year because my boyfriend was still in highschool and couldn't come up for my formals.. it woulda been a blast to go though. Your dresses sound sooo cute!
Blaq_Quest: I love the theme of your prom, that's so original (atleast for the proms I've been to). I totally agree, going stag isn't half bad... especially with icecream involved!

Ok here are some pics of me not the best ones but still.

and this is what my hair looked like.
It took forever and was super heavy so I'm proud of myself.

thank you. it did take forever though and i was heavy and painful but definitely worth it. i had my hair done professionally no one i know could come do that
