Greetings everyone, I am the Undying Nephalim, and the Starfox series is among my favorite in Nintendo's roster. I am learning to program video games, it is what I will do for a living... as practice I've been making fan games of Nintendo's series, I've already made a largly popular Zelda fan game which you can see here: http://zeldawiki.org/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_The_Fallen_Sage

Anyway, back on topic. For my next fan project, I am making a starfox game using the GalCiv2 engine developed by Stardock. I've always been interested in a Starfox game that would let you command fleets of ships and develop the empires that exist in SF lore, so with my programming and modding knowledge I have created this.

What is Star Fox: Galaxies?
It is a 4X strategy game where you assume command of one of 8 races and expand across the galaxy. You will make peace with other races, establish diplomatic relations, and if needs be declare war and engage in massive space battles.

Where does it fall on the Star Fox timeline?
It is a freeform game, taking place before any of the starfox games. Players will be able to change the history of Star Fox cannon depending on what race they play.

Is there any storyline at all?
There is a general background story, but depending on the race you play as it will end differently. Here's a genreal synopsis: "Seven young races have expanded into the galaxy, conflicting with one another, leading themselves to destruction. However, there is a force in the galaxy they know nothing of, the age of Lylat's true masters is returning."

Who do you play as in SFG? Do you fly around as Fox in arwings?
You command one of 8 different races: The Cornerian Army, the Venomian Empire, the Cerinian Republic, the Aparoids, the Anglar Directorate, the Saurian Confederation, and the Krazoa.

Is this an official game by Nintendo? Will it be released in stores?
No, this is a fan game being made for practice, fun, and free of profit. All credit and will go to Nintendo, and since it is a fan game it will be free to download when it is completed.

When will it be released?
Summer of 2008. A demo will be released sometime in the next month letting players try out the Cornerian Army

Indeed a lot of people have complained about the Saurians being in the game. I don't know if it was Krystal's ship, but I was basing their technology off of the ship that drops Tricky off in the Ice Mountain area, right before Fox get's on the speeder. I'm trying to find a way to imply that they are using technology Andross supplied to them.

I purposly tried to make the ships look like older designs of their counterparts in starfox games for the rest of the races (considering this takes place before any of them) with exceptions. I tried to model several ships exaclty like their counterparts. The Venomian Manta Fighter for example, I feel it's reminiscent to its design in the Area 6 level (it was the ship piloted by Caiman at the start of that level.) Since Cerinian tech was largly unseen, being the main fact that their race was destroyed, I made all of their ships from scratch.

That is Krystal's ship. She would have to have traveled the Lylat System somehow and it does say in game she travels the system in search of answers of her parent's death. You see her piloting the ship at the end. Also the ship is simular to the staff with the gold coloring etc.

There is one other slight problem with Saurians... It's only slight. The Krazoas live on the same planet as Saurians. Might be good idea to merge the two and maybe people won't complain as much.

I see. That explains a lot. If your basing it before.. Then Krystal would be a kid... Not a big deal as you could just modify her appearance and say she's Krystal's mother.

They have technology but from what I see they either stole it from Krystal or was left over by the Krazoa. Most of the buildings on Suaria are commented on being made by Krazoa. Krazoa's built much of Suaria and gave them most of their technology. General Scales Galloen is the only ship that Suarians or more precisly the SharpClaw tribe owns that could possibley go into space.

Your using General Scales for Sauria. That would mean SharpClaw tribes have taken over... It's going to be too confusing this way and difficult to explian. Doable though. Basically Suarian is combination of krazoa's and Saurians. However there is a seperate army for SharpClaw tribe. This would make sense... Well more sense. general Scales and the SharpClaw tribe stole technology from Krazoas and other ships that crashed onto Suaria. The other dinosaur tribes are part of the Krazoa one. Otherwise you have to epxlian why Suarians who pretty much protect Krazoas suddenly deciede to hate them.

Actually the god thing was never mentiond in Adventures. They are spirits that give life to the planet. Without the Krazoas the planet dies. We never heard anything about Cerinia other then something destroyed the planet and Krystal was th only sruvivor. Krystal didn't know what a Krazoa was until an EarthWalker told her.

The orignal story of StarFox Adventures when it was Dinosaur Planet may help with stuff on Krazoas etc.

there is one flaw with your armies.Aparoids are tiny viruses, that take forms, and create shapes. they don't pilot ships, they are ships.

I haven't stopped in in a while, but it looks like you've made even more progess since I last posted. Really nicely done! Well presented and organized.
