Tiernay was slowly growing and he knew it. He was only open to his family and rarely strayed away from it. But tonight was different, he wanted to go out. What motivated it? Teenage hormones? Anger? Who knows he just wandered away for a bit.
The adolescent stalked in the grasses, his head held down instead of up. For the moment he was thinking, about what? His sister. He was getting protective over her, not wanting and males around, like his father. He also tried his hardest to protect his siblings.
"Stupid rock." He growled as his attention snaped up as he almost tripped.

 Rand snickered as the young one tripped on the rock. Having stayed a bit away from the forming pride while he slept, mostly out of habit, he didn't normal encounter them wandering off. Not the young ones at least. Getting up from his sleeping spot he walked to within five feet of the young Tiernay and grinned.
"You gotta watch out for those. They're dangerous." He said, in his slightly arrogant tone. Ever since the young one's protectiveness, Rand had kept his cool, not threatened by this one, but knowing he could well be attacked by it's father. Some opportunities however, were just too easy...

Tiernay almost jumped out of his skin when he heard a voice. He turned around, unsheating a claw and his face crinkled into a snarl then he realized who it was. Rand. The male who came to the pride forming. It was late!
He puffed out his chest a bit and growled, the hair standing up on the back of his neck. "What do you want?" He snarled his voice uncaring and not happy. "Why were you following me?" He swiped the unsheated paw at the older male.

Ignoring the cheeky attitude and not even flinching at the warning swipe, Rand stared at him for a moment. "I have no need to follow you. You're the one that wandered nearly into my sleeping area." Still smirking, he he couldnt' help but adding "Quite loudly at that. I'd have thought you'd learn to walk by now, especially staring at the ground as you were." Rand threw him an innocent smile, knowing that his inaction would drive the young juvenile more insane than if he confronted him.

Tiernay just glared at the older male. "Shut up. I'm pretty sure you wern't sleeping." He growled and flicked his tail behind him just wanting to get back to... where ever he was going. He glared at the male. "What do you want anyway?" His hair still raised, no why was he going to relax with this male around. He didn't like this male, then again he never liked anyone at first, it took time, alot of time.

"Well of course i wasn't sleeping, all the racket you were making would wake the dead." Rand retorted. It wasn't really that he was mean, it was just that this lion let himself open so easily for remarks that he couldn't help but make them. Biting back the urge to say what he really wanted, Rand got up and circled halfway around the young cub. "As for what i want, I havn't quite decided yet. Perhaps i bide my time." he cooed from behind Tiernay. His grin was lost in the darkness.

Tie rolled his eyes. "You really have no life do you?" He snarled when the male started circling him. For a moment he just watched him. "I laughed when my younger sister said you were gay. Now I'm wondering if your gonna try and rape me and prove her beliefs." With that he turned he tried to find a way out and started walking.

Before Tiernay even knew what hit him, Rand came to his side and knocked him to the ground, sending him skidding for several feet. Issuing a low rumbling growl that only an adult lion could make, he stared at the youngling on the ground. "That is for your lies and disrespect. Do not think for one second that because i do not give in to your petty games you are above punishment for indiscretions toward me. " Stalking past back to his sleeping area, which was thankfully still intact, he lay down. "Now run off and go tattle to mommy as you are undoubtedly to do. " And turning his back, Rand lay back down in the circular area of grass he'd been in before.

Tiernay blinked as he was on the ground. He listioned to the adult and growled deeply. "I'm sorry but I don't tattle to mommy." He followed after the male then jumped into the air, claws unsheathed, trying to pounced on the male. He wasn't one to run to his mother, he was never that kind. He growled, closing his eyes hoping that he landed right.

Rand had suspected he would do it. He'd almost wished for it just for a chance to claw a little obedience into the childs hide. He waited, knowing the nails would dig in, and waiting for it.
The second it happened he roared out with pain, perhaps a little to theatrical, as the young ones claws weren't as bad as an adults would be. Without waiting, he rolled, grabbing Tiernay by the neck with his huge jaw and throwing him off to the left about a foot away. Giving a roar fit for a king straight in the young ones face, his claws unsheathed, he swiped at his front flank. Figuring the meaty part would heal best, he left his paw mark in the form of flaps of skin and blood. A wound that would heal, but be a reminder.
" I told you to leave runt. This is your last warning, or i'll drag you back to your parents now, if they arn't already on their way. And who will they believe? You with tears in your flank, or me with backstabbing claw marks?"
Ears back, Rand began growling again.

"F**k.* Tie looked down at his wound then looked back at the male. He growled. "Why are you here? Start trouble?" He snarled and lunged again at the male this time also going at his neck. He wouldn't let this go on in his family's lands. As he launched toward his neck he tried his hardest to clamp down on the male's neck.
But half way he pushed his feet to the ground and stopped. "Your not worth it." he growled and started going back to what he was going to do in the first place, go out.

Completely uncaring about the charge, Rand took another chunk out of the dubs opposite front flank. He knew his pathetic jaws wouldn't get through his mane more than to slightly pierce the skin.
When the nuisance finally got up and began to walk away, Rand bellowed back to him.
"Wisest thing you've ever done. Now go trip on some more rocks like a good little boy." And paying him no mind, Rand jumped up on the low limb of one of the few trees on the plains, settling in for the night licking his blooded paws.

Tiernay just rolled his eyes and kept on walking. If his mother asked he had a hard time getting a gazelle down. He'd keep a close eye on the male though, he didn't like him. He espeicaly didn't like him around his sister. He growled and stalked off into the distance going to do what he wanted, like before he was interupted. Except now he also had to clean a wound. No big deal.
