On all sides ot the Capital, there's a large forest that provides some of the most beautiful and serene views in the kingdom. A small river runs through, a good place to catch a few fish. Fruit bearing trees are scattered about the forest, but if you find one, there's bound to be 3 more trees just like it nearby. Berries grow of bushes, but be careful not to eat the posionous ones. Many wild creatures live here. Boars, snakes, and birds are here, but so are talking trees, demon bears, and more. Don't wonder too far off the trail if you aren't familiar with the area. Otherwise, have a nice hike, get some fresh air, and enjoy the forest.
The forest also plays as the protective barrier around the city. It keeps it hidden from unwanting eyes and threats that might want to harm the city and its inhabitants. The forest it pratically impossible to travel through unless you know you way because it is constantly changing. This is to insure that the unwanted stay out and only want come through. Only the true inhabitants know the way through the forest by heart, usually the guards that portal the forest have to direct much of the traffic to the city through this forest.
