School's ending and I just realized I wont see most of my friend's anymore! My other friend and I decided to go to the same community college together. But I know that wont hold up, we decided to carpool and everything, but I know for a fact that wont hold up. She'll mostly get a ride with her boyfriend and ditch me someone time in the near future of our school days together. So I'm not really "excited" about it as she says. I have a back up plan in case that happens anyway. But still! I mean I work best alone. But having friends makes everything better, agh!
How it like for you guys to leave your high school friends behind(considering if you did)?

School's going to be out for summer soon. There was a song about this kind of thing that Alice Cooper wrote. What was the name of it? ....oh yeah! Feed my Frankenstein. That was it.

Oh, man I remember that... ;~;
For the entire week of finals in my senior year last year, I didn't think much of it, while everyone was going, "YEAH SENIORS! '07!!1!!1!" I was going, yeah, woo. Sure. And it didn't affect me until the day of my graduation, while it was happening. (Not the practice, either.) It didn't affect me until the Safe-Grad party at my school that I actually started to feel depressed about it. Especially since my friends, as of now, are currently either at an out of state school, or at the state university in Connecticut or it's satellite school; read the school's community college. (For the record, the school is the University of Connecticut, which is private, and I'm at University of Hartford, which is a private school for the state.)
I know of only three that came to UHart from my old High School, myself being one of them.
So you already have the chance of seeing someone you know in the halls. I don't. crying
(Just sort of, stop her and say hi. And force a convocation when she's free, if you need to.)

Well I didnt quite have that experience as I moved to China after grade 11 so I never got to graduate with my friends and see how they turned out. I keep in contact with them through facebook (though I rarely go on it)
Once I moved back here to Canada and graduated here only barely knowing anyone and I thought I would be alone at University. It surprised me at how many people from my High School came to UVic. First semester was awesome! I loved all my classes and even in second semester there was someone I knew in all my classes. Somehow though second semester was not as good. I was more of a hermit that semester.
I'm kind of the opposite of you Gthb as I would rather work with people as I find that works best for me, but I would rather be alone. I never had a problem with leaving my friends. Most people dont realize how socially inept I am. It exhausts me to go out.
If you are good at meeting new people then you will be fine at University. 3nodding If you arent quite the social butterfly then I recommend hanging with the people you know already and try not to get discouraged if it doesnt turn out the way you have anticipated.

Eh, leaving my freinds wasn't so bad really. A lot of people from my high school go to the college I'm at. But I only talk to three of them on a regular basis. My other friends that went to other colleges, I haven't talked to them much, so it's kinda like they fell of the face of the earth. xp It was kinda sad at graduation, leaving freinds and all, but now I'm kinda over it. Maybe I'll see them again at the class reunion or something. . .
