The post you are trying to access is imaginary.
I tend to read books about disabilities. Just to escape mine for a little bit.
So, I thought, let's make a directory for the guild. (:
After all, we want to spread awareness right? And a good conversation starter is always the book you are reading.
ALS :: Tuesdays with Morrie - by Mitch Album
Cancer :: A Time for Dancing - by Davida Wills Hurwin The Last Lecture - by Randy Pausch and Jeffrey Zaslow My Sister's Keeper - by Jodi Picoult
Mental Challenges :: So B. It - by Sarah Weeks
MS :: Blindsided - by Richard Cohen
Polio :: An American Summer - by Frank Deford
Anyone else have others? I tend to forget the titles of the books I read, so I know there're more good ones. I'm going to be adding summaries in a bit.

Ooooh nice idea MM!
I didn't know Tuesday's with Morrie was about ALS, isn't that written by the guy who also wrote "The Five People You Meet in Heaven"?

Well, it's about Mitch's old professor who came down with ALS, and what his professor taught him before dying.
I loved the book. It was wonderful. Short and sweet. (:
Yes, it's written by the same person. Mitch Album's a pretty good writer.

I think I read My Sister's Keeper when I was debating benefits of chemo with my parents. Maybe it allowed be to connect better.
I should start adding brief plot overviews and the like.

Hillo...haven't been uere for a while...how I'm back!! 'Tuesdays with Morrie' is the saddest movie I've ever seen (well, besides 'Titanic')! I watched it in my Pre-Algebra class (I know, the last place to watch such a touching movie. But he was really cool for a teacher. biggrin ) It made me cry sooooo much.
