Sawa woke that morning at least an hour before the sun would rise. He would need all the time he could get before sunset to prepare the next "task". The most difficult thing he needed to do was collect as many fireflies as he could. they were all over the swamp, but he needed something to keep them all in first. He scouted out in the forest, looking for something useful, but nothing showed up. He made his way down to the waters edge, and spotted just what he was looking for. He grinned as he collected as many as he could carry. The sling/pouch he had made by binding rabbit skins together was certainly coming in handy.

When Gwen awoke in the beautiful field, a feeling of complete wellness came over her. This place already seemed like home to her, and she hoped she would be able to perform the third task. She was a bit wary of it... Sawa seemed to be able to tell what her weak points were, and base the tasks on them. She wasn't sure what else he could come up with, but she knew she wouldn't like it.

Sawa had just finished gathering all of the fireflies he could find when the sun reached its zenith. The hardest part was over now. It was no easy feat finding fireflies in the daylight when their little bulbs weren't flashing. Next, he would have to do some hunting, and fishing. He had never had trouble with either of those before, and was confident he would be able to get what he needed with time to spare.

As Gwen finished up her meal of roots and berries, she wondered what she would do for the rest of the afternoon. She didn't want to go anywhere near the swamp, so she didn't disturb Sawa. She didn't want it to seem like she was trying to cheat by getting a sneak peak of whatever he might be working on. Instead, she decide to take a nap in the forest. She had had a long day yesterday, and her muscles were a bit sore.

Putting the last fish into his bag, Sawa was elated. He had caught two rabbits in about 15 minutes. That had been extremely lucky. The fish had taken a little longer, but he had them now. He was happy how well his plan was turning out. He just hoped she would appreciate it. Now all he had to do was set everything up before sunset. He packed everything into his pouch, and made his way to the waterfall.

Gwen woke up from her nap feeling very refreshed. She looked to the west, and saw that the sun was pretty low in the sky. Well, I had better start making my way to the swamp. She thought. She doused herself in the river on the way, hopefully not to just get dirty again. She didn't run, but she didn't take her time either. She decided she would get there a bit early, even if she went very slowly.

As Gwen made her way to the middle of the swamp, she grew confused. No one was there. She hoped part of the task didn't involve finding Sawa... she wasn't really up for a game of hide and seek. She looked at the sun and saw that she was indeed a bit early. She sat down on one of the dryer areas and waited patiently for Sawa to show up. Butterflies were in her stomach as she waited, not knowing if he was going to show or not. She wasn't sure why, but she was actually worried about him. What if something bad had happened?

Everything was perfect, Sawa thought as he made his way back to the swamp. She was going to be so surprised when she saw. He just hoped she would like it. He had no idea how to treat situations like these, or how she would interpret it. He realized he would be late if he didn't get a move on, so he started to run.

Finally, Gwen heard something in the distance, and not long after she heard him, she saw Sawa making his way towards her. her stomach did a little flip at the sight of him, which confused her. She recognized the feeling, but she wasn't sure why she was having it with him. "You're late!" She called out, laughing while she was trying to imitate the stern face he had used when she had been late to the second task.

Sawa grinned when he saw the face she was making. he supposed it was meant to look like him, when he was being stern, but on her it looked more like a pout, and very cute. "Very intimidating!" He said, laughing. "Well, let's get going then. I'm taking you to your next task... near the waterfall." He felt pleasure in walking beside her as they made their way to the waterfall. All of his grouchiness seemed to float away when he was with her.

Gwen blushed when she accidentally bumped into Sawa as they made their way towards the waterfall. Stupid girl! She thought to herself. She didn't want to let herself feel this way, but she couldn't help it. Was she starting to fall for this guy? He wasn't the type who would usually tickle her fancy, but the way he challenged her was new. And she liked that. It took courage to take on her personality.

Sawa stopped Gwen not far off from their destination. "Alright, now i want you to close your eyes, and I'll lead you from here." He was a bit nervous that she might refuse. he was nervous she wouldn't like the surprise. He was nervous about just everything at this point. Well, there was no turning back now. He was putting himself out there, and he hoped he would get something positive in return.

Gwen closed her eyes as directed, and moved her body close to his so she wouldn't bump into anything, trusting that he wouldn't let any harm befall on her. She was excited now. She had some inkling that this task was going to be a bit different than the last ones, and probably more enjoyable.

He was overjoyed when he saw that he wasn't going to have any problems with her not going along with it. He found himself blushing this time as her body was next to his. This time, he was sure it was sincere, and not just a girl trying to get her way with him. He led her to the spot he had picked out, and had her sit down. "You can open your eyes now," he said softly.

When Gwen opened her eyes, she couldn't believe what she saw. It looked... magical. There were little glass jars placed all around them, with fireflies giving off a soft glow. The waterfall was right beside them, and the churning of the water sounded like music to her enchanted ears. There was a huge rock in front of her, with a rabbits and fish for them to eat. There were wildflowers growing all around the area. She couldn't believe that Sawa had spent the whole day setting this up. "It's beautiful," she breathed out, looking at him with new perspective.
She new then that the feelings she had for him were real. This was going to be a lovely evening, and she was sure there would be many more like it.
