What the title is.
I personally like the Japanese way more. I never pictured L's voice to be like it is in the English and they just screw up alot of voices, like Near's.
I also like the Japanese better because it's already through... I mean... none of the English-watchers know who I am.

I prefer the Japanese cast. They sound so much better (except Misa). I do actually like Ryuk's English voice, but he's the only one. I have yet to hear Matt though, and I really want to.
Edit: Well, I've finally heard Mello...and honestly, I hate his voice in English. And I figured out, the dub is almost up to episode 35 (which is when Matt talks for the first time) so I'll get to hear him for the first/last time on the 21st.

I like them equally. I like Light's voice better in English, and L too, but for people like Near and Mello, absolutely not in English. I love Ryuk's voice in English. It's funny.

i just wish they would bring the LABB to life so i could hear BB

I've never heard the original Japanese cast version so I wouldn't know.

I prefer the Japanese cast because i like things in its original content. I think that the English actors mess up the tone or their vioce is just not how the vioce was supposed to be like.

In the japanese version I can actually imagine the pictures talking while in the english.. it doesn't sound very nice ( except L ) OMG! The BB case! That would be so cool I alreay want to watch it crying xd

I prefer the Japanese over the English because their voices seem to sound much better. In English, they just screw everything over. When L came in, I was like... "Holy crap! They screwed him up!" I just do not like the English cast much because it sounds better in Japanese.

I never listened to the english version, but I know already I like the japanese better. I like Japanese in every anime much better.
They have so much feeling in their voices =3.

The Japanese verrsion wins.
I was pretty disappointed with the english dub, but whatev.

Everything will be okay in the end.
I prefer the English one. Misa's Japanese voice grates on my nerves. It makes my ears bleed.

Japanese.
L's and Light's voices weren't so bad.
Near's sounded a little awkward, though.
Mello's made me want to dig my eardrums out with a butter knife. |:
Matt's was lovely and the only reason why I don't totally hate the English dub. DDDD:
