Well One of the things i have decided to do starting Monday the 12th is to start losing weight and getting toned and several others mentioned they are going to be doing the same.
sooo i thought we needed a place we could have where we could keep track and give each other encouragement.

sooo here goes the rules or guidelines LOL

1. post a real picture of yourself ( ya i know yuck yuck yuck LOL)

2 post how much weight you would like to loose, or at least a goal you have for the month then update it monthly do all that in one post and edit it as time goes by.

3. If you are following a Specific Eating plan post what it is

4. if you are following a specific exercise regimen post that ( walk 1 hour a day, do aerobics 2 times a week, go to the gym every day what ever your doing but you don't have to put in specifics)

Now i have found that i lose more Inches than i do weight. so my suggestion is to measure EVERYTHING
head, neck, shoulders, chest. forearms. biceps, tummy . hips, thighs, calves. and keep track either weekly or monthly. and only weigh yourself either weekly or monthly, by weighing yourself daily you can get discouraged. (experience)

I would also like us to be HONEST with each other and ourselves. If you Cheet TELL US so we can help encourage you to get right back on track!

Reward yourself for a job well done every month with something you want like a CD or some money for ITunes a new purse a night out at the movies ... JUST NOT FOOD!!

Since im setting this thread up for us i will be going first UGGG but i believe because we are all so close and have so much in common we can help each other more than some stranger ever could. I am committed to losing weight and getting my life back and i am going to be 100% honest with you and with myself.

Well i hope this will help you PM me if you are going to participate so i can add you to our list.

NOW if there is something else besides losing weight you would like to keep track of and have everyone here help you through the tough parts well thats great too ... DO the same thing PM me with your name and what your trying to do and ill add you to the list!

weight - 240 lbs sad

Excersize and diet - I've joined the Biggest loser club online and right now not doing any excersize though I will be hopefully usin' a personal trainer for the gym and startin' the gym today or tomorrow .... cardio 30 - 60 mins a day and weights up to an hour a day smile

Goal: Lose weight, become healthy.

Sad when even your almost 4 year old niece tells you you're heavy....

Okay...here's me!
Weigh in at 202 xp
Want to (eventually) be 150--but...180 within the next 4 months

Already participating in a friend's online program!!

Problem area: muscle--got too much of it, and it's HEAVY, lol! (out of necessity, I have to build up muscle)
Want to tone up and lose me lumps! And...lose some uh...."top"heavy weight. It'd be better for my back, I'm sure.

I do: cut out sugar most days--20g or under
workout: high-impact aerobics, 60 min. 3 days wk.
hike: 30 min. minimum 5 days week
strength/resistance training: several times a week

Eat: tuna is my friend! whee
Lotsa chicken and fresh fruit, veggies
I just eat less bad, more good

My goal is more specifically health, endurance, strength, and changed habits.

the hardest part is gettin' started .. figured i'm startin' on monday (tomorrow) with rosie biggrin i mean the excersizing part .. the eatin' healthier part has gotten a lot easier biggrin cut out all white breads (well 95%) turned to wheat everything smile less red meat and use more ground turkey and/or organic beef ... less salt and sugar ... i love to use the mrs. dash products. they are just so yummy!!! just need to have more fruits and veggies ... the fruit's easy it's the veggies that are difficult ugh ...

and you and rosie both look amazing! i thought yours was a before pic, coolretrogal biggrin

maybe i'll force my father to go to the gym with me tomorrow --- now he can't make any excuses .. he said once he got back from the trip since he got the okay from his dr he can go! soo .. tomorrow it is biggrin

Count me in on this party too ya'll!

User Image

User ImageCurrent weight: Uh...do I really have to post this....*sigh* Okay fine 306. If this leaks out >w> I'll bite people. Seriously. RWAR XDUser Image

User ImageExercise and diet: I don't diet. I'm going for more of a permi change. I want to be able to keep the weight off once I loose it, and for me diets aren't the way of doing that. So I'm going to be cutting back little by little every week and making healthier choices. I'm lucky enough to have a treadmill at home, so I walk 30 mins a day at least 5 days a week and do what I can only call rowing in a boat (this weird lil spring thing my grandmother gave me...it helps tone the arms, and so far if I use it regularly I notice a physical difference at least.) At min 3 days a week.

User ImageGoal: Hmmmm Well I want to loose at least 130 pounds in general...but more is nice too ^w^! Why? Well one I don't like being this size, and a few years ago I found out that I'm pre-diabetic (and apparently have been since before I was a pre teen...didn't know cause my doctor was a *cough*.)...so yeah I'd prefer to try and not get heart d. and all the nasties painfuls that go with it (it's all up in my family)...so being almost 22, I figure this weeks a good time to start trying to live better...so I can actually try and see what I look like when I'm 70.

So I'm officially starting today, Monday May 12, 2008.

Awesome's food diary:

May 12th, 2008
Breakfast: oatmeal, a glass of milk, 1/2 banana and .. bad bad, I know ... 2 slices of italian bread --- with very little butter. I had to have the bread. It's been so long since I had good bread but I'm incorporating it in my healthier eating biggrin

morning snack -- bad .. didn't eat ... my diet calls for me to eat like 6 small meals durrin' the day -- to keep the matabolism goin' ..

lunch: 1/2 a chicken sandwhich, light mayo on wheat bread ... a serving of honey wheat pretzel (100 cal), 1/2 thing of yoplait light yogurt (really didn't like the flavor of it), water and a small box of raisins ..

mid-afternoon snack: 1 kashi tlc bar (those sure are yummy!) 1/2 banana

Dinner - 1/2 cup of mixed veggies, small salad w/carrot and light italian dressing, chicken breast w/a little gravy, jasmine rice (that and basmati and brown rice are the better rices that you can buy and taste great!) and 1 slice of bread w/very little butter, 1 glass of milk (skim/organic) smile

snack - 1 dark chocolate lindor truffle ... yummers!

excersize - I decided to do a 25 minutes work out on the treadmill, got up to 2.5 mph at a 4.0 incline smile burned 111 calories, walked about 3/4 of a mile and took over 2200 steps! yay for me!

1 Grapefruit with 2 equal ( i love grapefruit )
2 egg whites no salt

Ive already cooked a piece of chicken to take with me when i go out to run my errands so im not tempted to go to a fast food place xd

My only problem is veggies .. i dislike raw broccoli and cauliflower and beans are expensive now ... hmm maybe i should eat some canned beans ... but they have salt in them *sigh* maybe i should just drink my veggies V8 here i come ... but i don't like v8 LOL its a vicious circle

Hiya Lavi!! (your secret is safe with me! wink )

I'm sooooo proud of you guys!! Me mum is diabetic, and has had knee replacements--I reallllly don't EVER want to have to go through that. Plus...I wanna look like a hottie, lol!

Mon: cup o'coffee, 2 TLC kashi bars--yum!!! blaugh
lunch: bowl of cereal (dang, forgot the name of it--6g. sugar), w/fresh strawberries, a few walnuts, coconut, and a lite yogurt

TIP: Sugar is your worst enemy for weight gain (also ages the face--yuck!), next would be processed flour--try to stick to fresh produce when ya can too--less starch and sugar content that way.

For exercise--muscle burns more calories than fat--work on weight training if you can, and everything you do will be more effectively utilized. High protein foods will help you gain muscle--tuna, beans, eggs, etc.
