Well, might as well join in. *jumps on passing wagon* Here's my little collection of bits and pieces. I'll add more as I get around to uploading things.
Constructive criticism is fine, but this is stuff I make mostly for my own amusement, so don't expect fine art. :p
Oh, and I'll probably ramble wuite a bit about everything. If you're interested, great! if not, just look at the pretty pictures
(Pictures to come, just getting photobucket sorted) biggrin

This is a small test piece I made to try out a faux enamel and wire work technique. The head design is taken from a book of ancient metalwork which I scanned and played with in photoshop to get an outline. I then printed the outline image onto transfer paper, transferred it onto a rubber block, and carved out the design deeply to make a stamp. I stamped black polymer clay with the image, then covered the raised areas with gold pearl-ex to imitate wire. The spaces were filled with tinted liquid polymer and the whole thing was baked. I'm quite pleased with it really, though if I do it again I'll try to make the stamp a bit more even, some of the lines didn't come out quite right. It was the first time I'd tried stamp carving, it's quite fun.

Next is a covered egg I made as a Christmas gift for my parents. It started as a blown eggshell. First I baked a coating of liquid polymer onto it so that the rest of the clay would stick, then I hand rolled and blended each curl and applied it to the egg, adding dots for texture. When it was half covered I baked it, then flipped it over and did the other side. Once it was completely covered, it got a soak in a vinegar bath for an hour or so to dissolve the eggshell inside (I left a hole at the base of the clay to remove fragments, which I covered and re-baked later) The final touch was multiple coats of varnish, then it was strung on silver cord with hematite and garnet beads. The whole thing took about 3 days to complete, so I was pretty proud of it. My parents loved it.

A couple of dragons, again gifts for friends (I don't seem to keep much of what I make) The designs were based on dragons made by Christi Friesen, They aren't anything near as cute as hers though! They're awfully fun to make, and no two are the same. This little guy is only 1.5cm wide, he lives in his little box and eats worries that his owner gives to him. This one is slightly larger, the rock is about 12cm wide to give you an idea. Those are semi-precious gem chips around him, I made him for a friend and chose the gems to help her out with some things.

random computer-top pieces, some of the few I've kept rather than giving away.

I like your work. I like all the fine details. The little dragon on your stamp reminds me of Bowzer. :b and I like that necklace a lot.
