Hey there! And welcome to the seventh newsletter (the first one dictated by me, which makes it even more special).

There's quite a bit happening in our guildie currently. It's practically hopping with excitement! Oh look! There it goes, jumping away with the Kangaroos!

What's going on in the Guild

First thing's first! I was going to wait till the end to say this, but I am just so gosh darn excited about it! There's a new sub forum called The Bar! It's exclusively for Senior Members (crew), and it is chalk full of fun! There is a Cocktail Bar, the GCW Bar in towns, and even the first Guild Lottery! These privileges are exclusively for Promoted Members only, of course. Soon, there will be art contests and other types of wonderful things that wouldn't be found in the Arena or the other sub forums!

You may be wondering, how can I join in on the fun of being a Crew Member? Well, here's your answer! Be active in the guild. Join contests, and host one or two yourself! Try to recruit new members and introduce them to the guild; make friends!

Additionally, Crew Members are expected to up there responsibility expectations for themselves, review user requests to join the guild, and enforce the rules of the guild upon an unexpecting public! Are you up for the challenge of attaining the title of Crew?

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. I don't know how much I'll be able to get on from now on, actually. sad I got a new job and they're working me a lot. Plus I'm making friends with a of my coworkers and I've been hanging out a lot with them outside of work. I'm hoping I can manage to balance things out and come back to be the Zenai you all know and love!

In other news, I've downloaded a 30 day trial of Photoshop CS3 and I'm hoping to actually by it. What does this have to do with you? Assuming I get a chance to play with it and figure out how to work it as well as my beloved Fireworks, I should be able to make even cooler banners for you all. Hooray! Our banners are in need of a revamp. Some of my earlier ones are starting to make my stomach turn. . . The Quote banner seems to be the fav, so I'll try and do a couple that are similar to that. If you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment in the Support our guild thread.

If I'm remembering correctly, I think there's a banner request waiting for me in there X.x I have to banner request from my shop as well. I just have managed to find the time. I'll get in touch with them and see if they still need a banner or if I've taken to long sweatdrop

By the way, Ink, this looks awesome! And I'm going to have to check out the bar. I wish there was a way we could actually PM the newsletter to everyone. . .

Hmmm. That does sound needed.

Hey Annetia!!! *shouts*

Do you think she heard me?

Annetia, is there a way to send out a PM to everyone in the guild with one shot?

I know that you can send a group email out to all of your friends. I wonder if there is a way to do that with a guildie group? Hmmm. I shall delve further into this question when I have the time to.

I like it! I can set it up from a yahoo account. Annetia as well as other choice crewsie members can have the password, and therefor access to sending out Newsletters.

Now, we have to decide on the following for the mule:

Appearance:
Gender
Name
General Look

Access:
Who has access
What the mule is used for

How do we alert the guild of our newfound friend?
PostPosted: Fri May 23, 2008 2:43 pm

I suggest:

It be a male, because they are easier to formalize in regards to dress (which makes all the difference, of course) x]

The name be something along the lines of:
GCW_Newsletter
GCW_Friend

General look should either be relaxed or professional or totally crazy.

-

Access should definitely be limited; I suggest a minimum of two, and a maximum of four.

The mule should probably be used for mainly newsletters only, and possibly a contest account or something on those lines.

-

We could send out the friend requests straight away and put up an announcement in the Announcement sub forum.

Good idea! Well, here's my idea, anyway, but I think that Ink's would probably be best. sweatdrop

Access:
who-I definitely agree on minimal access. Four people, tops.
use-mass communication with guild members. Important updates, newsletters, etc. (Hey, if we send newsletters by PM, we'll be able to clear the "Newsletter" forum and we have another spot for anything else we need for free! No charge to make a new forum!)

Now for appearance:
I think that the look would probably depend on the gender. So here's my idea for each-

Female: sweet, casual, and laid-back OR classy, elegant, and maybe a bit eccentric. dramallama
Male: professional and clean-cut OR formal (like, black-tie formal)

And an idea for the name: just something simple and easy to recognise, like GCW_anchor or GCW_messenger. Short, sweet, and to the point.
xd

Also, when we decide on the gender and the look, I would be glad to help by throwing out a few tek-tek images of possible candidates (following the look/gender guidelines, of course)

I created an account by the name of GCW_Newsletter, just so no other tricky person tries to steal it. We don't have to use it though, I just thought it best to reserve it in case. It is male, but the gender can be switched if need arises.

Oh, there could be a little tek tek contest for the GCW newsletter mule! x3

Here's my suggestion:
User Image
And that made with just things I own and am willing to donate, So he could look like that right off the bat. And of course we could change him, depending on the event or our moods.

as for what he's used for, obviously the newsletter. We could also have all of the Guild funds and stuff go to him so that Annetia wouldn't have to worry about it. That can include letter donations for contests and stuff. We could also have him make 'Ad Threads' during events or just in the normal forums. Hm, what else could we make our puppet do. . .

Dance, puppet, Dance!

And about the whole changing the annoucement sub forum, I don't think we should. For those who have cluttered pm boxes, or delete their pms, we should keep a reference forum.
